Version 4.2 Glitch - Driver's Side Window Stays Open After Closing the Door

ok - before I installed version 4.2, when I exited the drivers sides, the window would roll down a bit, then roll up after the door closed. Once I installed 4.2, my driver side window opens more than before the version upgrade and remains in the 2"-3" down position instead of closing after I close the door. I have tried several different window settings and tried to close the window after I open the door but before I close it on my way out of the car, but still after I leave the car the drivers side window remains open 2-3 inches. Anyone else experiencing this?

Well this is weird. I played with the driver's window and noticed the auto up and auto down feature was no working. So I cycled the window all the way down (holding the button) and all the way up (holding the button), and now it is working as advertised. Glitch is gone!

This is normally how you reset most auto-up/down windows in other cars - it provides calibration stopping points for the window mechanism.

@tjim and Alex K. That is good information just in case it happens to anyone else. Thanks.

I am noticing after the last update that when I first get in the car, the wipers do one wipe then all is quiet. Feature?? or glitch?? Not sure why we would want the wipers to cycle after we get in the car in the garage. Thoughts? Experiences?

reitmanr,

Check your wiper setting. If it's in the lowest rain-sensing setting, it will do one wipe as soon as you open the driver's door. Mine has been doing this since day 1 (version 4.0). It's funny because the timing is such that if your front window is wet when you get in... you get a little wet before you can close the door.

EcL;
Yeah, invokes a funny image of experienced MS owners developing skillz -- like jumping back after opening the door a crack when the windshield is wet, or quickly jumping inside to avoid the sploosh, etc.

Or maybe a download will fix it. ;)

It is a "feature" if you have a rain-sensing wiper option selected. It wipes once to calibrate the sensor.

Thanks- you are correct. I thought about this possibility earlier today and by golly, I had the wipers set to first notch. All is well.
