Is there a way to retrieve a record from the front camera following an accident? USB drive was not plugged in at the time.

From what I’ve read, No sorry. If that stuff goes to Tesla, I haven’t read anything anywhere that says it’s requestable from them.

I have a friend who is a police officer and he says they have successfully gotten video from a Tesla without a dash cam drive installed but it took a subpoena. Was complaining about the amount of video they received and had to sort through. I doubt you will get it for a minor accident. If there was a death then odds are much better.

You need a subpoena. I learned this when I requested the video from my car.

Call Tesla, maybe they do for 72 hours!
