Condensation in fog lights

Condensation in fog lights

Am I alone? It’s not too bad, but I admit I’m surprised it’s happening.

Apparently, you're not alone.

Pardon the pun, but on a lighter side, I'm not surprised by the fogging in the fog lights :)

Put it on your next service visit list.
Known problem. They’ll replace it.
They did mine 8/19

Still Grinning ;-)

I think all model 3’s have this issue. I know mine and my wife’s all get condensation from rain or washing the car. It goes away after a while. Would be concerned if water was filling up inside though.

You would need a lot more data to state this and it isn't true. I don't have it nor do any local owners I know.

My fog lights get water in them every time I wash the car. It’s not just one of them, it’s both. I thought it was the design, to prevent them from fogging you. Is that no the case?

@stebo1 I thought I heard this too but all I know is that both sides of mine and my wife’s fog up with condensation during a car wash or rain. It doesn’t take long for them to dry out. Maybe they shouldn’t allow condensation but I’m not worried as long as it’s not filling water. I had a model S rental that had condensation in the tail light. That to me didn’t seem normal but since it was a rental I didn’t care.
