60 inventory....if anyone is in the market

Thought I would try to help potential fellow X kool-aid drinkers looking for inventory vehicles.

Thanks!^. I'm waiting to order until the hardware for fully autonomous driving is getting installed. Hopefully when Elon makes whatever announcement around the end of this year about autonomous driving that he's been talking about, he'll tell us if the hardware is being installed yet. If it takes more than 6 months I might pull the trigger anyways but I decided to wait for now, because I'd be bummed if it came out in a year or two and my X didn't have the hardware for it. When I test drove the X, I was told that the hardware is not ready yet. I also heard unofficially that it will be installed on orders placed after October, but that could be wrong.

did someone say...

I'm not waiting for new hardware. I'm doing a two year lease. In two years, I'll update to the newest technology available on a Tesla.

A word to the wise on the new inventory vehicles. Ask when the vehicle was produced. Many of them were produced April 2016. Now, in Sept, there are substantial improvements in sensors, etc. within the car.

So while it may seem like a "new" 2016 Tesla Model X, it's actually probably the equivalent of 2 versions behind.

So more like a 2014 Toyota Camry vs. a 2016 Toyota Camry if that makes sense. That's why there's such a big discount.
