iphone hookup for talk/text and forum search

my other car has abilty to plug phone in and "talk and text" while driving but was advised by Tesla that they don't have that capability? For example when driving in volt new texts pop up and I can play them over bluetooth outloud and respond while driving-Do you guys have a work around for the Tesla (I have an X)? Seems odd since we all paid on average $100k but that function was left off....kind of like how do we usb chargers in the car that are not "superchargers" ?

Also I see alot of you saying "search the forum" I don't see the option to type in a key word search-when you say search ru saying go page by page by page...?

The workaround is to use Siri on your phone; there’s no iPhone integration for texting.

This article will show you how to search and much more: https://teslatap.com/articles/owners+manual+companion

I didn’t understand your comment about USB chargers and superchargers — what did you mean?

re: the usb ports inside our tesla...for all the money we spend I would think they would "superchargers" like after market usb chargers for my phone -we can buy ones that charge your phone in 30 minutes but all we got was the standard charger
thnak you for responding

@mussocpa, Regarding your question about the power at the USB ports, it's not really a Tesla failure. It's a problem with the USB spec that doesn't allow high amp charging if it's specified as a data port for reading music from flash drives. Here are a couple of previous threads on this:

When you buy a Tesla you are 15 years ahead of every other car out there.....except with infotainment. In that area you are stepping back in time 10 years or so.

"except with infotainment. In that area you are stepping back in time 10 years or so"

Ten years ago I was driving a Corvette and a Jetta. The former had a radio, the latter had a radio and CD player.

My Classic Model S has a 17" screen, radio and various streaming options.

Such hyperbole.
