Josef Stalin Would Be Proud

Josef Stalin Would Be Proud

If someone had told Josef Stalin that in less than 70 years after his death the leader of the free world would be strutting around in his capital city on Independence Day like some third world tin horn dictator complete with full military display, he would have considered his mission accomplished.

TabascoGuy | 10. Juli 2019

Neo - Before he was elected, Trump was giving a press conference where the topic of his rental practices came up. At one point later he repeated the promise that he'd "run the government like a business". One reporter responded "So you'd take advantage of the poor and less fortunate?". Trump replied "That's just good business".

So you're OK with that type of mentality?

SCCRENDO | 10. Juli 2019

Looks like his Stalin parade bankrupted the city of Washington
https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/dc-politics/trumps-july-fourth-even...

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 10. Juli 2019

@SCCRENDO,
Please explain in detail how the 4th of July celebration was a "Stalin parade".
Also, if Trump was involved with the Epstein child rape debacle (not just speculation by CNN, but actually involved) then I would be shouting for his immediate impeachment and incarceration so that Pence could lead the country.

@TabascoGuy,
Actions speak louder than words. What Trump said in whatever press conference you're referencing is totally irrelevant. Look at how many of those poor and less fortunate Americans are now in the labor force, earning more than they ever made on welfare, and paying their taxes. Wow, Trump is an awful human for taking advantage of them like that.

SCCRENDO | 10. Juli 2019

@neo. Reread the thread.

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 10. Juli 2019

@SCC,
Done. And?

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 10. Juli 2019
TabascoGuy | 11. Juli 2019

@Neo,
No, that press conference was not "totally irrelevant" as it was one of far too many examples of what kind of person Trump is. You didn't answer the question but that's fine, it's apparent that you're OK with it.

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

@TabascoGuy,
Again, awful words are just awful and make a lot of people feel uneasy. I wish the president spoke using the queen’s English with a massive vocabulary and focused sentence structure.
Actions are all that really matters, though, because his policies are bringing about some incredible results. Show me examples where the president’s policies have harmed minorities.

jimglas | 11. Juli 2019

hate crimes are up exponentially

andy.connor.e | 11. Juli 2019

how you define hate crime is up exponentially

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

@jimglass,
The rise you speak of began in 2014. I’m not about to blame Obama. I’m going to blame methods of measuring. When it becomes easier to report more people will report rather than keep the violation to themselves. I’m glad reporting is easier now. I’m glad the data is cleaner. I wonder what law or policy Trump put into effect that would have liberal media and talking heads saying he is responsible for the “exponential rise” in hate crimes? Sounds like a political ploy to me.

NoMoPetrol | 11. Juli 2019

Perhaps it was Trump's none-too-subtle appeal to our lovely neo-Nazi white supremacist faction in the last presidential election cycle that has people equating that appeal with a direct rise in hate crimes.

But of course you will deny that any such pandering ever occurred. It helps keep your narrative cruising along.

andy.connor.e | 11. Juli 2019

you guys are so ridiculous.

jimglas | 11. Juli 2019

trump is an unapologetic racist who welcomes the same
Not all republicans are Nazis, but all Nazis are republicans

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

Again, your minds are shaped by what the media tells you to think. Look at the facts. Look at the policies. Look at the rise in opportunities for all Americans and the statistics that show how many former welfare recipients are currently enjoying those opportunities.
You say Trump appeals to Neo nazis. What is he doing to draw their adoration? Maybe it’s the presidents relationship with Israel that the neo nazis love and respect.

SCCRENDO | 11. Juli 2019

@neo. That he never denounces white supremacists. As a reminder
https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/otilliasteadman/trump-charlottesvil...
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/mar/18/white-supremacy-do...
As regards Israel, I am Jewish and think that Trump is the worst thing for Israel. THe survival of Israel depends on a 2 state solution. One state will ultimately result in the destruction of Israel. The demographics are against Israel. In order to maintain a voting majority they need to deny rights to Palestinians. Many presidents have failed. if an American President is to achieve peace they need to be perceived as honest brokers. Trump is clearly siding with Netanyahu and bringing rogue regimes like Saudi Arabia in. This is not a good long term solution for Israel.

jimglas | 11. Juli 2019

@neo: unfortunately, not a single one of your "facts" is true. Willful ignorance on display.

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

@SCC,
You are not he resident authority on Israel due to your religion. You simply have a different political view than the majority of Israelis who voted for Netanyahu.

“Racism is evil, and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.”
- Donald J Trump

jimglas | 11. Juli 2019

saying and doing are quite different

And trump has demonstrated that he is a lier with over 11,000 documented lies since his election

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

Mmhmm. Nice pivot, Jim. Again, what was the racist policy the president instituted?

NKYTA | 11. Juli 2019

"Actions are all that really matters, though, because his policies are bringing about some incredible results."

So ignoring climate change and gutting the EPA and giving the top 1% more money is "incredible results"?!? I'm guessing you are in the top 1% and don't have kids/grandkids, or don't give a shit about them.

Your blinders are fully locked in place.

dmm1240 | 11. Juli 2019

@SCCRENDO. A woman named Katie Johnson filed a civil lawsuit accusing Trump of raping her on 3 occasions when she was 13 @ Epstein's home in Florida in the mid 2000s. The suit, initially filed in California, was tossed out for a technicality in how it was filed. She later refiled in New York and that suit was allowed to proceed, the decision to go to discovery occurred shortly after Trump's election in 2016. Then, she suddenly withdrew the suit and that was that.

The specifics in the complaint: A copy of the California lawsuit (filed on 26 April 2016) shared via the Scribd web site outlined the allegations, which included the accusation that Trump and Epstein had (over 20 years earlier) “sexually and physically” abused the then 13-year-old plaintiff and forced her “to engage in various perverted and depraved sex acts” — including being “forced to manually stimulate Defendant Trump with the use of her hand upon Defendant Trump’s erect penis until he reached sexual orgasm,” and being “forced to engage in an unnatural lesbian sex act with her fellow minor and sex slave, Maria Doe, age 12, for the sexual enjoyment of Defendant Trump” — after luring her to a “series of underage sex parties” by promising her “money and a modeling career”:

dmm1240 | 11. Juli 2019

@SCCRENDO. Here is more documentation on another website with the text in the actual complaints.

http://thememoryhole2.org/blog/doe-v-trump

There was even an article in the Huffington Post around that time: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/why-the-new-child-rape-ca_b_10619944

And the Daily News: https://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/woman-drops-suit-claiming-trum...

Publicity seeker or a young woman still traumatized? Who knows? Worth some digging by reporters, though.

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

"Publicity seeker or a young woman still traumatized? Who knows? Worth some digging by reporters, though."
Agreed. Yet here we are almost 3 years later with no bombshell stories.

Still waiting for the racist policies.

NKYTA | 11. Juli 2019

The self-proclaimed Muslim ban not enough?

No response to over 10,000 lies?
No response to pulling out of the Paris Accord and gutting the EPA?

Sigh. Willfully ignorant.

TabascoGuy | 11. Juli 2019

@Neo,
Although I do respect your opinion, I don't agree that the ends justifies the means. That said, one of us needs a new pair of glasses as the country that I see is not as rosy as the one you see.

Also, If Trump made the quote you posted above, without reading a teleprompter, and those words came from his heart, I'll eat my shoe.

dmm1240 | 11. Juli 2019

"Still waiting for the racist policies."

Don't watch the news much, do you? Lots happening on the border. You should catch up.

SCCRENDO | 11. Juli 2019

@dmm. Thanks for the info. As I tried to show the bar is so low that these Trumpists point to someone who committed some similar crime and because he was not proven to be worse he is ok.
@neo. Exactly where did I claim expertise? I am just expressing an opinion. But in all likelihood know a lot more than you about the situation. I have visited many times and even met with leaders. I have many family members and friends living there including in settlements. Like with all Trumpists it is impossible to fact check every false fact you put out. But if 25% is a majority than Netanyahu has it. Even Trump at 40% has a bigger majority
https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2019/apr/09/israel-election-2019-...

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

Look, I like all of you guys, especially Jimglass because he shares the same surname as my favorite starship captain. NKYTA, the "Muslim ban" was not just a muslim ban. It was intended to stop inbound travelers from countries that do not screen their travelers backgrounds. Of course this was an awful thing to do in order to keep Americans safe (sarcasm). I'm sure those foreign countries have improved their vetting practices, so not a total loss.

10,000 lies - The president is a shit-talker, no surprises there. I'm not proud of him for that and wish he had mastery of the English language like Obama did. Unfortunately he's never going to be an orator.

This "Top 1%" talk with the tax cuts... They're not all blowing that money on extra yachts. It gets reinvested in American companies, thus the stock market going up. Those companies then get to prosper, hire more employees who pay more taxes, etc... Yes, sounds a lot like trickle down economics but that's a lot better than socialism.

Capitalism will fix our environmental concerns. As clean energy becomes easier to mass produce and deploy, more people and more utilities will lean on it for power production. Wind, solar, etc. is only growing from here on. We don't need our government fixing this. We need American consumers and business fixing this.

SCCRENDO | 11. Juli 2019

@neo. Oh where to begin?? You may say that Trump is a poor orator. Perhaps habitual liar would be more accurate. His attitude to Mexico has nothing to do with keeping America safe. It is purely based on racism and keeping America white. Some of the previous presidents have used fog whistles in their racism. He is so blatant that people are stunned and don’t believe he means it. Putting all the money and power in the hands of billionaires let’s them dictate how the country is run. Trickle up economics empowers more people. More poor people spending will do more for the economy. If we let the economy dictate we would lose all our environmental protections. This we need legislation. Trump should be tried for crimes against humanity for all he has done against the environment. He is even pushing coal which no longer makes economic sense.

jimglas | 11. Juli 2019

its actually flood up economics since Raygun. The middle class has nearly disappeared and those most effected vote to continue their demise.

andy.connor.e | 11. Juli 2019

The beauty of America is that if there is a business opportunity people will take it. We do not require government interjection, we require market demand shift. Consumers have so much power over the market, and its sad that people dont realize this.

SCCRENDO | 11. Juli 2019

Andy. We realize this. I am all for a free market. But you need to realize that large corporations are ruthless and don’t always act in the public interests. Regulations are needed to protect the public interest. Financial success does not necessarily equate with public interest

andy.connor.e | 11. Juli 2019

Stop buying products that are not in public interest

finman100 | 11. Juli 2019

ok. done. what now? my neighbors are still buying non-public interest products.

Jesus, the trumpers are stupid. and proud of it! right here on the internet!

wow.

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

@SCC,
How is keeping a secure border any different than forcing people to go through customs at the airport? Is customs racist?

Tesla-David | 11. Juli 2019

Yep, @finman100 is right, lots of stupid people out there without a clue on how their buying habits impact our environment, or even care a whit if they did know. We need to regulate these scumbag companies that only care about making a profit even as they destroy the habitability of our planet for future generations.

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

@Tesla-Davis,
Maybe we should also sue the oil industry for the 100 year rape of Mother Earth.

Tesla-David | 11. Juli 2019

Absolutely, AG’s of several states are doing that already.

andy.connor.e | 11. Juli 2019

Jesus, the anti-trumpers are stupid. and proud of it! right here on the internet!

wow.

See what i did there?

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

@Tesla-David,
Could you say under what grounds these AGs are suing? Thank you.

SCCRENDO | 11. Juli 2019

@Neo. If you paid attention to Mike’s posts you would have your answer

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

Ok.

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

Thank you Tesla-David. Very interesting. I’d be a hypocrite to complain about these lawsuits because I think the next major lawsuit needs to be against Big Sugar for their massive contributions to type 2 diabetes, heart disease, etc.

SCCRENDO | 11. Juli 2019

@neo. At least we agree on something

jimglas | 11. Juli 2019

we need to stop subsidizing corn syrup

Neomaxizoomdweebie | 11. Juli 2019

@jimglas, we need to just stop making the crap. It’s god awful poison. Ruining kids health along with their parents.

SCCRENDO | 11. Juli 2019

Now we all just have to get rid of Trump to get this done

sabbia | 11. Juli 2019

@Neo. Referring to your post that dems and supporters and generally those who see Trump as a menace to liberal western democracy, "want to turn this country into the Supreme Soviet State."

In response I posted, "It's like defecating in public and telling the public that the excrement is someone else's."

To which you replied, "Sabbia, your metaphor is baffling."

First of all, @neo, it's not a metaphor. But I doubt that's the reason you don't understand it. You asked me to take you through it so I will.

Step A
Trump channels Stalin and calls the press the "enemy of the people." That's the defecation. Defecation leaves excrement.

Step B
You, Neo, blame dems, progressives, I guess anyone who sees through the danger that Trump is, as "wanting to turn this country into the Supreme Soviet." (You don't really get what the Supreme Soviet was, but that's not relevant.)

Step C
You, Neo, characterize the excrement as having been left those other than Trump.

Quod erat demonstrandum.
