Have any of you had people unplug you from public chargers?
I once parked next to a guy in a plug-in Prius who got a nasty note on his car for using the J1772 charger - even though there were open chargers next to him.
Another time, I was plugged in to a 110 outlet just to top off while I was at the mall, and someone unplugged me and left a nasty note on my car saying something to the effect of "You're not the only electric car owner in the world." There was another open slot next to me, too.
The guy in the plug-in Prius (who seemed super nice) said he has had openly hostile encounters with Nissan Leaf owners. I guess they have very particular rules about who they think "should" be using public chargers... Basically only them.
My theory is that, because their range is so low, they're just angry about it all the time. They have to vent it onto someone else who doesn't have the same problems they have - like Plug in hybrid owners or Tesla owners.
This range rage could get serious. I actually avoid public chargers unless I really need the juice, now.
