Finally got the USB to format correctly and the icon to appear on the screen. I thought the camera continuously records on each drive and records over the memory unless you specifically save or download a file. When I previewed the USB on my computer there were only 2 files that showed up and these were the ones I saved when first playing with it in the garage. No other files since driving with the TeslaCam for the past 2 days. Am I missing something?

I find that it only automatically records the last drive no matter how long(but overwrites on the next time the car turns on). It saves the last 10 - (1 min) files if you push on the cam icon.

It’s supposed to save an hour of video before overwriting.

@2020: Are you sure the dashcam is actually enabled?

What is the capacity of the USB you're using? Is it dedicated to TeslaCam, or do you have other files on the USB also (without a separate partition)?

I see the icon on the main screen with a red button on it and USB has 64G capacity.

The red button indicates that a recording is being made. The Teslacam record an hour’s worth of about one-minute movie segments. You'll find these movies in the Teslacam folder. After an hour of movies, the cam will erase the oldest segment and replace it with the newest. There are files written outside the Teslacam folder which the car uses for some unknown purpose. Those are not the files you want.
