Still an issue...new batteries, better charging options are what's needed. https://www.brusselstimes.com/all-news/business/68543/belgians-want-elec...
Heres a summary.
3000 random people in undisclosed demographics and careers were surveyed to analyze their position on EVs. Which is 0.026% of Belgian's population.
They determined there are almost 11,000 EVs on the streets in Flanders, which is a Northern portion of Belgium. Flanders occupies 44% of Belgium.
Of those 3000 people, they report statistics on only 1000 of those 3000 people.
-80% of the 1000 people (26.6% of the total surveyed) said the primary reason for not buying an EV is their high cost.
-76% of the 1000 people (25.3% of the total surveyed) said that there arent enough charging stations.
-69% of the 1000 people (23% of the total surveyed) said range is too low.
Only 10% of Belgians have test driven an EV.
IMO, not a very good survey, and not a good distribution of statistics. 3000/11.35million people. Statistics used on only 1/3 of the people surveyed. Demographics what-so-ever on the people surveyed is not shared. If you survey 3000 people who live in poverty, 100% of them will say they are too expensive. What would that number show if you surveyed 3000 corporate executives?
You can check this link here which shows Tesla locations in Belgium. There are lots of supercharger locations with LOTS on the map, and almost all planned installation by the end of this year.
I guess it depends WHICH EV they think there arent enough charging stations for, but in reality, if you click that "DESTINATION CHARGER" button, there are QUITE alot.
