Just downloaded 40.2.1 a few minutes ago. I note some have received 40.2.2.
Any noticeable differences? Did you get a second upgrade from 40.2.1 to 40.2.2?
I'm still on 40.1.1 should I call service? /s
Oh no. Terrible
I doubt 40.2.2 has rolled out. It’s likely that the poster made a typo.
I think any update where only the third decimal is changed is just going to be bug fixes.
When does 52.3 roll out?
"When does 52.3 roll out?"
In the last half of the 52nd week of the year.
So, will it be the last update of the century?
Decade, friggin decade, with lasers!
The decade does not end until 2020 is over
@Pg3ibew You are not nerd worthy. Counting is zero referenced now. 2020 it's the start of a new decade, not the end of an old one.
@sarah. Lol. The way things are debated on this site, the decade debate could drag in for a CENTURY. lol
@Sarah R, thank you thank you for the coffee-through-the-nose guffaw! The phrase “You are not nerd-worthy” is now in my lexicon to be frequently used. And note the hyphen; it is a compound adjective requiring the addition punctuation. Now to go clean up.
@SalisburySam: I believe Sara's "nerd worthy" is a predicate nominative not an adjective in her sentence. Nevertheless hyphenation probably still applies. Sorry I was married to an English teacher.
Holy grammar Batman, we’re surrounded by linguistic nerds.
@Pg3ibew - I think you ARE nerd-worthy and I think you're technically right. And I don't think anyone cares.
I mean... there was NO year zero. So was the first decade only 9 years long?
Same with centuries... the year 2000 was a big deal, but there was all that chatter about how the new century didn't start until Jan 1 2001. The year 2000 was the "cool" year because obviously, it was cool.
The real issue was the people who decided there was no year 0. It's screwed decade and century boundaries ever since.
OK, and everyone else is gonna say I'm not nerd-worthy either. sniff... sniff... heh
@don.lind That's certainly a nerd-worthy argument.
It's wrong, but it's worthy! ;-)
I'm kidding, if course. Just having fun.
Loan me a $10 bill and I'll pay you back with nine one-dollar bills.
Just as Pg3ibew said, this decade ends Dec 31, 2020 at midnight. To say otherwise is not nerd worthy. Nor factual. Nobody starts counting at 0. Computers have a 0-1 bias because they are binary systems, but people are not. As the SoundBlaster parrot once said, "Don't talk nonsense!"
Life is good but it's better in a (nerd worthy) Tesla.
@Stinnet you'd still need to pay me back with 10 singles. We'd just start counting with the zeroth bill and stop at 9
Nobody starts counting at zero. "Don't talk nonsense!"
Life is good but it's better in a Tesla.
it's all offset vs index
Oddly enough, we are born at zero.
Our first decade of life ENDS on the last day of being 9 years old.
Our next decade of life begins at age 10.
But year 1 is the first year. So all of year 10 would be the last decade.
While we are at it, could someone explain why roman numerals do not have a zero?
They do. It looks like this (between the quotes) " "
@Pg3ibew now THAT is nerd-worthy!
@sarah. I like numbers.
I am a number geek!!
English, not so much.
Explain how NUMB turns to NUMBER? As in NUMMER.
But 1 is a NUMBER.
1 plus 1 is always 2. But not Number amd Number.
Let your geek flag fly!
So, nobody answered my original question.
Maybe this thread is just overrun by trolls?
F.vanalstine | December 15, 2019
So, nobody answered my original question.
2019.40.2.2 does not currently exist so no one can answer your question.
@F.vanal. Trolls, we are not.
Yoir question was answered very quickly. And then we all had a little fun.
Now that 2019.40.2.2 is rolling out, somewhat, does anyone have anything to report on this release?
It appears to be only for the European market and does not add features but instead nerfs their autopilot to further comply with stringent current European laws on driver assistance.
So the Europeans are neutering their cars making Model 3 eunuch's.
There has to be an ironic political statement in that behavior.
Now there is 40.2.3, so this thread has gone from it's initial talking about an update that didn't exist yet to being...old news. haha.
Measurement begins at ZERO. Except when it begins at negative numbers. SOLVE for Common Sense. Good luck.
As far as the Euro Kids trying to (apparently) squelch AP: when's the last time these Euro regulators drove in Catania in rush our? Or... hey, just Sicily in general?
