Can anyone help with info on how to book a fremont factory tour
Thinking of late june
Do you own a Model S??
Good question. So I do own a Model S, does that mean a tour can be booked at all? If in the area, would love to take the tour. Even a tour of the assembly facilities in the Netherlands, for which I was invited, was very much worth it.
I'd like to know as well.
Contact your Delivery Specialist or "Ownership Experience Specialist" (the salesperson that some work with). They should be able to help.
You just need to email firstname.lastname@example.org with your information and request. They will get back to you fairly promptly.
My service center put in a request for me.
We toured two days ago. Really good! Kim was our tour guide. She didn't reveal any secrets, and also swore us to secrecy about anything we saw or heard. Nothing really to share here in spite of our promise-- we pumped her with questions but all she would say was that they didn't tell her anything because Tesla knew she would spill it and it would be in the news the next day.
Is it possible to book a factory tour? We are visiting from Phoenix
you have to be an owner to book it, they are usually booked well in advance but you can always see if they have an opening. Email to ask email@example.com

How to book fremont factory tour ?
Please read just 4 posts up. Email to factorytours. Tell them your desired days/times out at least 3-4 weeks from when you want to go.
I would like to schedule a tour. How soon can I schedule it?
@amylanzhang - No one here on the forums are Tesla employees. You'll have to use the email firstname.lastname@example.org to get a time. Offer a couple of desired time/dates 3-4 weeks out and they may be able to accommodate you.
I would like to schedule a tour. How soon can I schedule it?
@rajpatel1 - You need to send an email to the email address: email@example.com
Plus you need to be an owner.
Make sure to include in your email your Reservation number or VIN number.
I just emailed them and the following is the response I received regarding tours. Just trying to help...
Thank you for contacting Tesla Factory Tours! We can’t wait to show you our ground breaking facility and how we make our revolutionary vehicles. Due to the overwhelming amount of tour requests we receive, our team will respond to you within the next 48 business hours. Our schedule fills up 3 to 4 weeks in advance so unfortunately, last minute requests cannot be accommodated.
If you are a Tesla owner, please provide us with your reservation number or VIN for us to reference your account.
Thank you and we look forward to your visit.
Today (Thursday) I was told that I can pick up my AWD 3 at Fremont. So calling to set up a tour sounds like it is out of the question for such "short notice." :sigh: This was my entire reason for driving further to pick up at Fremont....
@darelldd - I'd still contact them, explain that you are picking up your AWD 3, and see whether there is a slot. Worst thing that can happen is they say sorry, but I've heard a few owners who just showed up and they had an open spot. Especially if it's just yourself and you have flexibility on time of day (I seem to recall they do tours at 10, 11, 1, and 2?). My family just did the tour 5 weeks ago and there appeared to be a few open slots for our tour (just judging by the number of open seats on the tram).
I agree with @p.c.mcavoy
Since tours are typically booked for multiple people, a single seat might be available. I would send them an email and see what happens. You might be pleasantly surprised.
I've just confirmed my appointment time, and have sent off the email. Thanks for the support!
darelldd, when I was there a couple was there for a tour later that day, but asked if there was an opening earlier. After doing a last minute head count they included them in my earlier tour. So, even if you get a tour date after your delivery date, I’d still go and ask about it at the tour office on delivery day. (Don’t expect them to be friendly about it, though.)
Anyone know if tours are only M-F, or weekends too?
Just M-F 10a, 11a, 2p, 3p
Ah, the good old days. They used to run them on the weekend back in 2013! Back then, the factory wasn't running on the weekends so it wasn't as interesting (little activity), but it was much quieter. The trams have speakers on each cart so you can hear the tour guide, but if the large stamping press is running, it can be hard to hear in that one area.
@reed_lewis - I was told that tours are only at 10 am, 11 am, and 3 pm (no 2 pm option). This was via the FactoryTours@tesla.com email and the Tesla Factory Tours staff about 3 months ago.
Also, just in case anyone does decide to just show up, be aware that you must wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, and shirt with sleeves (short sleeves ok). No infants/toddlers under 36 months old and all minors must be accompanied by and adult.
Here's what I received today "We host factory tours for Tesla owners Monday-Friday promptly at 10am, 11am, 2pm, and 3pm, excluding major holidays"
I guess I got lucky... e-mailed on Monday and got a tour scheduled for Thursday.
Here's the latest rules...
*** Please make sure that everyone follows the clothing requirements below ***
• Everyone must wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a shirt with sleeves (short sleeves ok)
• Tours start promptly on time, and last approximately one hour
• We are unable to accommodate late arrivals
• The registered Tesla owner must be present with guests
• No photo or video allowed inside the factory
• All minors must be accompanied by an adult
• No toddlers or infants (0 – 36 months old) permitted on the tour
• Your tour experience is subject to change depending on factory developments and its production schedule.
This includes but is not limited to: tour route, tour duration and activity within the factory
Place: Tesla Sales Center
45500 Fremont Boulevard, Fremont, CA 94538
It looks like this:
Take 880 to Fremont Boulevard (South)/ Cushing Parkway; exit and go northeast on Fremont Boulevard until you see the entrance to the Tesla Factory. Drive to Main Gate 5, go through the gate and veer to the right toward the Tesla Sales Center. Enter the Tesla Sales Center and tell the receptionist that you are here for the tour. They will check you in.
Google Maps - https://goo.gl/maps/cydmQagsHf72
Parking can be scarce close to the building and visitor parking is usually pretty full. Please allow at least 15 minutes to find parking. We have recently added a Valet near the main Lobby if you have any problems finding a spot.
We sincerely hope you enjoy your Tesla Factory Tour!
BTW, it looks like Friday tours are all booked through November 2018.
I'm also interested and sent an email... frankly it would be really cool if I can see my actual car being assembled.
How many guests are allowed per owner?
3 I believe.
Sounds right, but I can't find an official source.
Bighorn is the next best thing.
Tesla responded 1 owner + 3 guests = 4 total
They make exceptions for larger immediate nuclear families only (registered owner, spouse, and children)
I would like to book for a factory tour for my visiting relatives on Jan.2,2019 if open.
I am a Tesla X owner.
@efenixjacinto - You need to send your request to FactoryTours@tesla.com; tour booking is not done through this site or this post. I'd send them your VIN as opposed to just stating that you're an X owner.
I want to visit your factory on Jan. 30th. But I want to know your company's membrane enrichment system.
My e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to your positive reply.
On this forum you are chatting with other car owners not Tesla the company.
I am a Model 3 owner and would like to book a tour of Fremont Factory for a total 0f 6.I was told to E mail to email@example.com but only see Forum. How do I book a tour for 6?

No. We can't. sorry
If you want to book a factory tour, send an e-mail as instructed in previous replies. It always helps to read the other replies before posting a question that has already been answered.
Thanks all for sharing this information. Looking forward to trying to schedule a tour. Glad they keep it to only owners. Knowing it’s M-F is quite helpful.
of note: This is an auto-reply from the FactoryTours@tesla.com email address:
