New spy photo of Model X

New pictures taken yesterday at Hawthorne just posted over on TMC:

Looks like its on its way to the NAIAS.

New pictures of the old prototype, nothing new here.

Concur. Looks exactly like the 2013 Prototype, including the same wheel package.

I agree; but where is it going? To make room for the new beta?

aljjr2 | 04. Januar 2015

I would think if Tesla wanted to keep the Beta model out of sight, it would have been loaded inside the facility, not in plain sight. So for some reason, Tesla is transporting the 2013 prototype somewhere. Can't figure the rationale. If it were going Detroit, there would be little benefit of showing it, since it will still be only a prototype seen there before.

Maybe the are sending it to the Reveal Location, so all the Reservation holders can see the differences to the "Real Model X" sooooon.

THERE. Something for us the "chew" on for a few days. LOL>

Elon's wife got it as part of the settlement.

I think you mean ex-ex-ex-wife. ;-)

And I thought the X meant crossover!? Who knew? I'm now cancelling my order for this vehicle as I currently like the model I'm married to. :)

according to the following thread, it sounds like maybe the X prototype went to CES?

"FWIW, there will be a Tesla Model X shown at CES in the Panasonic booth."

EQC +1

Yep, looks like the 2013 Model X prototype loaded in Hawthorne yesterday went to Vegas and is on display at the Panasonic booth. Panasonic is promoting the GF at CES, confirming 500,000 TESLA vehicles by 2020. I am sure they would have preferred to show the Model 3 prototype but instead, Tesla threw them a bone (a 2 year old prototype).

Now, would Tesla let panasonic display a Model X this week without them displaying the new Model X beta at NAIAS in a few weeks? Here hoping they won't!!!!

@mdemetri Good detective work. Thanks for clearing this up...

Just saw on instagram, this IS on display at CES.
