What's your Model 3 build?

What's your Model 3 build?

Base cost: $35,000
Ext. color: Midnight Silver Metallic or White
Int. color: Black

Options:
extended battery - $9,000
Enhanced Autopilot - $5,000
Premium - $5,000
Paint - $1,000
19" Sport wheels - $1,500

Total: $56,500

I might bypass the extended battery to save $9k.

Carl Thompson | 31. August 2017

LR + PUP + paint = $50k

stockbandit91 | 31. August 2017

Base + $5000 Premium + $1000 Silver + $1000 Delivery = $42,000

Logic prevailed and I am not going long range for $9k, the extra 2-4/hrs I'll save per year not worth it for me.
I may go 19" wheels (+$1500 to above), but 18" without covers makes more economical sense based on how many miles I drive.

ybbor | 31. August 2017

Base cost: $35,000
Ext. color: Midnight Silver Metallic
Int. color: Black

Options:
extended battery - $9,000
Enhanced Autopilot - $5,000 (Guessing it will be reduced in price)
Premium - $5,000
Paint - $1,000
19" Turbine wheels - $1,500
AWD - $3,500
preformace + ludacrous - $15,000 (No idea on this option price)

Total: $75,000

rrobin36 | 31. August 2017

Base + $5000 Premium Package + $1000 Blue + $1000 Deliver = $42,000

I don't drive nearly enough for the extended battery, and I am OK with getting Enhanced Autopilot and FSD later on.

Blue Paint: $1000
White Interior $0 - I hope
Long Range: $9000
Premium Interior: $5000
Enhanced Autopilot: $5000

Total: $55,000

I was originally leaning toward the 19" wheels, but the aeros are growing on me and will likely wear my winter tires anyway (delivery estimate is Jan-Mar and I live in northern MN). I could be tempted by AWD if it were cheap enough and available soon enough (I won't be waiting).

Base Car : $ 35,000
Delivery: $ 1,000

Options:
Premium : $ 5,000
Extended battery : $ 9,000
Enhanced Autopilot : $ 5,000
Paint : $ 1,000

Total = $56,000

hoffmannjames | 31. August 2017

This is my plan so far:

Base cost: $35,000
Ext. color: Multi coat red
Int. color: Black

Options:
Enhanced Autopilot
Premium Interior

Total Cost: $46,000

I am still on the fence for either long range battery or dual motor with smart air suspension. I may go for one or the other but not both. I don't need either options but they would be sweet to have.

bmalloy0 | 31. August 2017

Base+paint for me. Was hoping to br able to pick up the equivalent of the cold weather package, but that got bundled together with stuff I don't want and can't afford :/

Fredbob711 | 31. August 2017

Exterior Color: Midnight Silver
Interior Color: Black

Options
Long Range Battery - Was on the fence about this, but the wife wants it
Premium Interior
EAP - Still on the fence about this, the wife says she won't want to use it, feel like I need to get her a ride in a car equipped with it so she can see how it works. Regardless would probably activate it later, along with FSD.

Total Before Charges & Taxes: $50k
Total After Charges & Taxes: ~$54.5k

jefjes | 31. August 2017

Base- $35k
Paint- $1k
PUP- $5k
Delivery- $1k
Total $42k at time of delivery
Another $6k for EAP at time of tax refund if full tax credit is realized.

eeb9 | 31. August 2017

I'm keeping it simple - Long Range plus Premium Plus Paint

$50k

I can't bring myself to spring for either the EAP or FSD upgrades - they really just don't ring any chimes for me.

On the 19" rims - I like the looks, but not enough to spring for the extra $$$ and the sure and certain knowledge that I'd be replacing at least one blown tire every year, courtesy of Atlantean Potholes.

aptwo | 31. August 2017

@rticknor
Is that the confirmed price for AWD? $3500? and do you know if this can be added on later when it releases?

ybbor | 31. August 2017

@fawkinater No, it's speculation at this point. Elon said AWD would be less then $5k, so my guess is $3500. Hopefully between 3k-4k is a reasonable guess, but now that it might bundle with the air suspension, we might be looking at very close to 5k again.

SCCRENDO | 31. August 2017

1st car. Fully loaded with as much as is available upfront
2nd car. Base model. No extras

r.beeshaw | 31. August 2017

Right now....

Base cost: $35,000
Ext. color: Basic Black
Int. color: Black

Options:
Premium Package: $5,000

Hoping to get EAP as well but that's a decision for a later day.

Going to tint the windows and delete the chrome ASAP. Been eyeing up the matte wraps as well... My bank account after delivery will determine what I decide.

anguy080 | 31. August 2017

Base Cost: $35,000
White Paint: $1000
White Interior: ?
Long Range: $9000
Premium Interior: $5000
Enhanced Autopilot: $5000

Total: $55000 + whatever white interior costs if it's not free
Still on the fence about long range battery. Will depend on tax credits.

LostInTx | 31. August 2017

$35K + $9K battery + $5K Premium Upgrades + $1K for red = $50K.

Those 19" wheels look nice but they've never seen Houston potholes. I'd wait for the AWD + air suspension but doing so risks my $10K tax credit ($7.5K Federal = $2.5K Texas).

RP3 | 31. August 2017

same as @eeb - except I'll be dodging the San Diegan potholes

Certain:
Long range premium ($49k)
Midnight Silver or Blue ($1k)
White or Black interior
EAP ($5k)

On the Fence
19" wheels - I like the sport wheels a lot better, but not sure I want to pay for them (or pay extra for tires)
FSD - This is a wait and see. If it diverges from EAP before my configuration date (probably mid-nov), then i'll get it. If not, I'll probably wait.

Lonestar

Up till now, the base interior on Tesla's has been only Black, so unless they change for Model 3, you are going to have to get Black interior or get premium package to get any other color of interior such as Tan.

Daryl | 31. August 2017

Extended battery
PUP
Paint
Auto Pilot

Daryl | 31. August 2017

I did a rough count, and came up with this summary. I left off people who were on the fence, which mostly applies to the 19" wheels.
Don't blame me if I miscounted somewhere. I'ts hard to do with free-form input like this.

Responses: 27
Extended Range: 16
Premium: 21
19" wheels: 5
Paint upgrade: 21

Daryl | 31. August 2017

Oops, left out EAP: 15

jefjes | 31. August 2017

Interesting that over half responding are going for the LR over the SR. Nearly everyone going for the PUP and paint but not the wheels. Over half going for EAP but I'm opting to delay that purchase even with the added cost since I'm trying to keep my loan amount down and the registration cost year after year.

Mr.Tesla | 31. August 2017

First production:

LR
PUP
EAP
FSD
18" Aero
Color TBD, but not black

sbeggs | 31. August 2017

Long Range
EAP
Red.

mthomtech | 31. August 2017

Most likely:
Base - 35k
PUP - 5k
Black Ext
Black Int
Aero 18"

Possible: Blue or Silver, but then I'd want white interior and Sport wheels (or 18" aftermarket)

kaffine | 31. August 2017

Long Range
Red paint
Premium upgrade
EAP
FSD

Unless some other option is announced before I configure that will be it.

sfca | 31. August 2017

First Production (Long Range Battery + Premium Upgrades)
Color: Silver Metallic
Wheels: 18" Aero

KiwiVagabond | 31. August 2017

Base + Paint + Delivery & taxes etc. ~$60k

Bryan.whitton | 31. August 2017

Long range
AWD
Premium upgrade(all I really want it the cold weather package)
black (to be wrapped, blue or yellow)
18" wheels
trailer ready(to haul bicycles)
Available next Sept after the Leaf lease is up

Hippo626 | 31. August 2017

First production vehicle with white paint, and autopilot. Total with 8 %state tax and delivery fee is $59,400.

PhillyGal | 01. September 2017

So on the fence. It'll either be:

LR + premium + paint + EAP = $55,000 plus 8% sales tax on roughly $42k of it = $58,360. F**k, fk, fk... I can't do it.

Base + premium + paint + EAP = $46,000 plus 8% sales tax on roughly $33k of it = $48,640. Shit, this is an expensive car.

PhillyGal | 01. September 2017

If I go with long range the payments on a 5-year loan will be over $700/month! That's insanity. That's as much as my Model S payment (1.11% interest; longer term loan.)

Gosh darn shucks you guys and gals have me stressed this Friday morning. I feel like Veruca Salt.
"I want it now!!!!"

Hippo626 | 01. September 2017

If I added the fsd and the sport rims this would cost me $64,260 with tax :/

andy.connor.e | 01. September 2017

Base, Long range battery, PUP (if delivery is not delayed too much, will prefer to bypass pup) and most likely different paint color.

I expect the car to cost about 50k. After taxes and delivery, most likely around 55k.

locnguyencalalum | 01. September 2017

Early production (Base+Premium+Long range Battery) =49K
Paint = 1K
Enhanced Autopilot = 5K
Delivery = 1K
CA tax (9.25%)= 5.2K
Local CA registration fee = 460

Subtracting 1K from reservation + 2.5K order

I'm looking at ~$58,200 before down payment for financing

Carl Thompson | 01. September 2017

@PhillyGal:
"If I go with long range the payments on a 5-year loan will be over $700/month!" ... "1.11% interest"

Your build

LR + premium + paint + EAP + delivery = $56,000 plus 8% sales tax on roughly $42k of it = $59,360

would be over $900 / month at 1.11% interest and $5,000 down over 60 months. You'd have to put down $17k to get down to $700 / month. Are you trading in your Model S?

If you can get that great interest rate you'd be better off putting as little down as possible and investing any additional money you'd have put into the down payment.

Carl

dsvick | 01. September 2017

I'm either
SR + EAP + PUP + paint

or
SR + EAP + PUP + AWD + paint

It'll depend on how much AWD costs and how much longer I'd have to wait for it.

Pkalhan | 01. September 2017

Mine is the same as the OP

PBrawnerR | 01. September 2017

PUP+EAP = 46000.

If Tesla network happens? Take my 4k for FSD later!

I'll get black paint and then paint it something cool (British racing green?) later on when the paint gets swirls and stuff. $1k can get me pretty close to any color in the world.

Fun to see everyone's configs. I literally tell my wife that I am reconsidering either dropping PUP, or actually ponying up for LR everyday. Paint color changes every 2 days between black (looks cool but hard to maintain) and white (practical less damage from washing and cooler in the sun). White does look nice from the rear and side, but I like the rear sides better in any dark color.
