I just received this text at 1040 pm tonight.

Hello from the Tesla Delivery team. Our logistics team has confirmed a Model 3 matching your order is available this week. Are you available to take delivery between 9/26 - 9/30?

I texted back but no response. I tried calling the # 510 345 XXXX but i get a strange Verizon Wireless message that the call cannot be completed as dialed. No change on my account (edit button still there) and no email.i don't want to get my hopes up....but...

Festina: Hmmm... that doesn't sound promising then. Do you own a Tesla or have any idea why they might think you have a model 3 on order? I definitely do, but haven't even been assigned a VIN yet so was surprised by the text.

Same here, Texas also. 510 area code includes Fremont, so I’m thinking it’s legit. I would be very impressed if they can get the vehicle to Austin by the end of the weekend though, considering they can’t ship the car until it is paid for. Not to mention the delivery issues they have had getting cars to Texas recently.

As far as I can tell it is :
1) someone hacked the database and got our cell phone#s.
2) A computer glitch or
3) Legitimate but poorly done.

My best guess is that Tesla sent this message to every reservation holder and will only try to match a customer to a car after a positive response. I am not holding my breath.

matt_tesla--I had a Model 3 on order ($1k reservation + $2500 order deposit), but had to cancel it a 6 weeks ago unfortunately. I have received refunds for both payments, and no order is showing on my account. I logged back in to check after getting this text.
