I purchased a 2018 model S 100d in September, and have received 1 software update since the purchase (2018.34.1). My co-workers have a model 3, and have ceived v9 update recently. They were apparently on 2018.36.* before the v9 upgrade...sounds like a pre-requisite version, and if it is, I am at least one version away from even pre-req version. Does anyone have insights on rollout of V9 to model S, and in general is there a logic to the sequence of version rollout to various models and years?

I was well behind the one you mentioned on the Model 3 (18.18.13), and since my version didn't support WiFi, Tesla was scheduled to come over tomorrow to sideload it. Today I got an update notice, and when the update was done, I was on 18.39.7. Maybe a half hour later, I got another upgrade notice. I applied it remotely and it's still on 18.39.7. That's something that Tesla told me couldn't work. But the system apparently disagreed.
AVOID V9 AT ALL COSTS!
From what I’ve seen, the biggest complaint is that you can no longer keep the rear camera and another app on the touchscreen while driving. The change is important to people who use the rear camera while driving, but most owners don’t do that.
Can you provide some documentation for that statement? I'm curious to know what percentage do and do not use the rearview camera when driving. Thanks.
