BUYER BEWARE...READ AND THINK TWICE!

I paid $500 deposit on 10/10/18 just to make an appointment for an evaluation of my home for solar installation. I cancelled the appointment days later, and the rep kept asking why--was it cost, was it financing? I simply changed my mind, WTF.

Many email requests later, and STILL NO REFUND.
The latest email I've received after sending a series of complaints is that they are still trying to speak with the rep and trying to get approval for the refund.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
NO INSPECTION WAS DONE, WHAT IS THERE TO DISCUSS?

ABSOLUTELY HATE THE SERVICE, VERY DISORGANIZED, NO ACCOUNTABILITY, NO DESIRE TO SATISFY THE CUSTOMER.

BUT VERY HAPPY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY, FOR NOTHING.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

I have had a 9.88 kw Tesla solar system in place since August 2015, Order Number EN7104764, 22 Deacon Lane, Sudbury, MA. My solar system stopped producing electricity at the beginning of April 2019. As of late August 2019 it still is not functioning. The peak sun months of 2019 have been missed. Tesla has made several technician visits during the five months including installing a new inverter, having a few guys up on the roof checking the system. The system still doesn't work. Blame it on lack of sustained interest or incompetence, or both. Per the system lease contract, paragraph 4(c), I am not to be "...charged for Estimated Production when the System is not producing electricity due to Solar City's (Tesla) fault". I cut Tesla off from automatic debit billing from my bank account and refuse to pay their "Estimated Production" bills on the basis that it amounts to consumer fraud. They just billed me $237.42 for the month of July when no electricity was produced. In my estimation as an attorney their "Estimated Production" billing while a system is down due to Tesla's fault is fraudulent and is clearly subject to challenge, perhaps as a class action.

Everybody here is already a customer.

Not necessarily gregbrew. I'm a Tesla auto customer but not a Tesla energy customer. Based on posts here, I am seriously reconsidering becoming a Tesla energy customer.

Counter experience, I put down $99 as a deposit in August and my solar/powerwall combo are doing great so far.

    We'll see how it continues.

I am getting tired of all the Tesla-Energy FUD! I am also a very satisfied customer installing two PW2’s 16 months ago with zero retreats and great service. Excellent product IMHO.
