Are there any other roadsters currently in Michigan?  I'll find it slightly humerous if the only one around the I-75 corridor belongs to a transplant from AR.

Anyone own a Roadster or reserve a Model S in Michigan? I live in Metro Detroit, and I have a Model S reserved and my father does as well.

Just confirmed my order last night! I live in Washington and work in Troy.

It's kind of disappointing how few Model S's I've seen in the wild, despite constantly looking for them (riding carpool), since I got my job about 20 months ago: Only five, four of them in Troy. I'll be glad to finally contribute.

I live in Toronto, but travel up to Gaylord though Port Huron twice a year to see my oldest daughter and her family. Do any of you have suggested charging stops on the way?

The power company (Consumers Energy) has four J-1772 plugs at their office in West Branch. Free 24/7 -- not fast but OK if you need a top-off. They are just west of Hwy-75 at the north most of the two West Branch exits, (I think it is M-76 but the map also has the road listed as old-23 and 55)
They are not listed on PlugShare as yet.

Where should I charge my Model S while driving from Detroit to Lexington, Kentucky?
  • edited November -1
@kathy ... there is a big hole on that route until the dayton sc is built ... maybe top off in toledo then go direct to north end of columbus where they have a tesla store and a service center

from detroit, columbus is 3.5 hours and within range of toledo

I posted this on the Model S site, but just trying to cover my bases.

I'm from Toronto and I'm due to get my MS85 mid-October. I'm planning on visiting my daughter and her family in Gaylord in November. I think that I can get myself to Detroit pretty comfortably (charging wise), but I'm not sure where to charge on the way up I75.

Normally this is a 7 1/2 hour ride going through Port Huron to Flint and then straight up. I expect that this first trip will take longer, but I still only want to take one day going up and one day on the return (no overnight stays at hotels). Do any of you know if there are good spots to charge on the way b/w Detroit and Gaylord?

@Don_t: Just noticed your Aug 4 reply. Do you think that I can get from Detroit to West Branch on one charge?

Also, do you know where fast chargers are in Detroit area?

Anyone know when Superchargers might be coming in the upper peninsula? Escanaba, St. Ignace or Mackinaw City...we need them for our Great Lakes trip in our upcoming Model 3...
