Parked Tesla looses 10 miles per day

edited November -1 in Model X
My Tesla Model X 75D is in a parking garage, and just lost 10 miles per day over 2 weeks (from 185 miles charged at 80% to 45 miles). The app says heating is turned off and inside temperature is 56 deg. It didn't get overly cold these past 2 weeks. Is this normal? What am I missing?

    Mine does that. Normal.

Sounds high. Review your options selected on the touchscreen. By removing most of them AND avoiding the inclination to check on the car, I experienced a loss of only 2-3 miles per day.

In cold weather mine would lose 10 miles the first day then about 6 the second day and 2 to 3 thereafter.

We averaged about 7 miles of lost range per day last week when our X 100D (MCU2) was parked at an airport garage in 40-70 degree weather.

I have a 2017 x 90 D that also has phantom drain. However, I also have a 2018 P100D that does not have phantom drain. Whenever I go to the vehicles app it has to "wake up" before turning on. My 2017 does not do that. Tesla may have corrected the phantom drain on its newer models.

Is electric worth it if a person only drives the car once or twice a week at short distances?

@rglossin Yes. If your someone who drives say 30 miles a week. You can have the car charged to 90, then put the charge to 50 and keep it plugged in. Since your car’s charge level is above 50% your car will not charge, but will use power from the wall charger instead of the interior battery.

My 100D drains 10 miles per day with the Sentry mode turned on while I'm parked at work for about 8 hours. The rest of the time it is parked at home.
