So I was unfortunately rear-ended by an incompetent driver, and I've sent in the car to the official Tesla body shop. They're telling me that they don't have all the parts and that it will take 3 more weeks (so far waited over a week) to get the parts and repair the car.
Now, the rational argument I'd like to make here is that I'm without a car for over a month; I can't drive the car because it has been disassembled at the shop; I'm forced to wait weeks for them to get parts. My old Mercedes got parts sent from Germany to the U.S. in mere days when it was involved in an accident a long time ago.
What I hope for is a pro-rated discount of some sort on the lease for a month, I used to get that kind of service satisfaction when e.g. the Mercedes folks took a week longer to get replacement fobs, anyone have luck with such a thing with Tesla, or am I just going to have to suck it up and pay Tesla for the month-long delay caused by them?
Not sure what standard of service I should expect with Tesla when I call asking for such a thing. Maybe I'm spoiled from the treatment I've received from Mercedes and Cadillac folks.
