edited November -1 in General
Are there any promotion codes out for the wall charger or any other accessories? Thanks!

Don’t know of any, but some people who received wall chargers as referral awards sell them for less than you’d pay Tesla. Check here: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/forums/tesla-parts-for-sale.72

You do know that you can plug your car into an ordinary 120/240 outlet, correct? Also, if you are thinking about the Tesla HPWC, the "C" stands for Connector. The actual charger is in your car.

Flagged spammer above. However someone mentioned you can get a tax write off or credit if you install a home charger under the alternative fuels area. I think it was about 30% so a $500 charger would be about $350. And then you could also deduct part of the installation costs too.

Not worth it for me since I put a 240V plug in my garage for about $30 right near the fuse panel for free by an relative who is an electrician , but it might be worth it if you have to run a lot of wire and hire someone to do the install.

If you are poor, cheap, or in need of a discount code, simply ignore the Tesla Wall Charger ($500) and install a NEMA 14-50 plug connected to 240 V. line.
Cost only around $20, and that plus the installation costs are eligible for a 30% Tax Deduction. If for a newer Tesla you will need to get a 14-50 adapter from Tesla, around $15.

Wall connector charges slightly faster, but not enough for many to pay the premium. It does look great however, and provides additional protection if mounting in the elements.

Should be done by an experienced or licensed person, following local code and permits.
