Did you do the rear window? One sheet entire glass if so? Little worried and tint places keep telling me not to that it cracks the glass.
Yes they did a one piece rear..
" tint places keep telling me not to that it cracks the glass"
I would avoid any tint shop that tells you that. Window tint doesn't cause rear glass to crack. However, there have been defective rear glass that does crack and shops may be afraid to be blamed for tinting one that does crack. My tint shop has done well over 100 Model 3's without issue.
Tips:
Make sure you use a high quality ceramic tint (Not 3M Crystaline)
Don't tint the glass above driver/ passages - It's dark enough
As stated above, tint back window in one piece. If installer says he can't do that, find another installer
Note: I tinted all windows including windshield

I didn't initially, but I did over the summer for my trip to Vegas where it was 109. I'm 6'6" bald, and I do get more radiant heat off the roof than I liked. I did 15% same as back glass.
"Simple question, do you wear sunglasses at night, if not, why?"
Sounds more like an agenda than a simple question but...
No, I don't wear sunglasses at night. However, with tint on my windows that I obviously can't remove, I can adequately see everything I need to without danger as evidenced by my 36 years of accident free driving at night.
Simple question, do you wear sunglasses at night, if not, why?
Simple answer, I don't have shitty sunglasses with 50% or greater VLT... my sunglasses are 20% VLT.
I do have other vehicles with 80% VLT on the windshield and it helps a lot in the day and IN THE NIGHT (cuts glare). If I were to do it again I would like a 50% VLT for the windshield of my other vehicle to be honest.
A friend who owns a Tesla Model S (2014) wants to get his car tinted in Estonia. We want to be legal; does anybody know the current glass VLT?
-Front Windshield
-Driver's window
We are thinking of putting :
Ceramic 70% on windshield
Ceramic 50% on Sunroor
Ceramic 35% on driver's window
Ceramic 20% on back windows
I heard 30-40% looks best from outside in terms of not creating too much of a darkness contrast with roof tint? In other words if you go too dark on sides then the stock sunroof tint looks too light, making it look a little weird? I too want to do ceramic tint i think would extend range in the AC months, but i cant figure out to believe this “it will make the glass crack” theory.
40 all around, 70 for front windshield and top glass. If you're head is close enough, you can feel the heat without additional tint on the top glass. Rear windshield was done with 1 giant piece.
I got 35 on the front passenger doors, 25 rear doors, quarters and back/roof, one piece. Nothing on windshield.
From inside, I think looking out the rear window is a bit dark at 25. Probably would’ve done 35 all around if I did it over again. But not unacceptable by any means.
Looks awesome from the outside though!! (Black car)
