Model Y

Ordered Model Y in November...Just Completed My Order Process Tonight

I have been waiting as I had seen SO many people having problems with their Model Y at delivery (panel gaps, charging port door not aligned, rear seats not aligned, etc...). Hoping that all this has been somewhat corrected by now. I also see they have new tail lights on the Model Y now (not just an amber blinker but also a deeper red lens...hope mine comes with them). I ordered a White/White LR AWD with the black 20" rims. I haven't seen any White/White Y's other than the Performance versions of it. Am I wrong or are they making a decent amount of this AWD non Performance in White/White already? Going to check it out intensely when delivery day comes. The higher/lower outside of the doors as evidenced by the trim is what worries me the most as seems kind of impossible to fix.

  • Received ours a few days ago. Not a single issue and a perfect experience start to finish. Amazing machine not much more to say other then Don’t watch every doomsday video on the net while waiting as it will give you nothing but false anxiety. Congrats. And yes ours had the new tail lights. Look great.
  • I ordered this exact configuration on 7/31 in Southern California. I was told by my SA it was a popular configuration for LR and Performance. I was lucky enough to test drive this configuration several times and I’m beyond excited to see the higher vins with no real quality issues and the updated lights!

    Congratulations on your order!

  • Is anyone tracking production like they did with 3? Curious about how many have been built thus far. My model 3 was RWD and VIN in the 56k. Service came out for many things such as charge port replacement, frunk latch got stuck, fenderwells replaced, cv axle nut lossened up, leds in headlamp fell down, ac vent in dash separated, condensation in bot h taillights, drive stalk plastic separated twice and a few other things. all of course covered under warranty and mobile service is awesome. My car has since been totaled. waiting for insurance to send the check so I can order a Y.

And that's why I cancelled my order. I'm not paying $70k+ to be Tesla's Q&A.
