Using wind turbines with powerwall

Has anyone heard of any future updates to the powerwalls to be able to use a wind turbine or a way to do it now?

  • Certainly not available now, but you never know what the future holds.

One problem with wind turbines is that they tend to be too noisy for a residential area. Also, the most logical mounting would be to directly attach the mast to the house, and conducted noise can be irritating, too.

I've never seen a wind turbine in suburbia.
  • Depending on codes, I could see this happening in suburban/exurban 1 acre plus parcels but I don't think the tech is there yet to do a small enough windmill to fit in a backyard assuming codes allowed it and have it make energy sense.
  • The idea of a one acre parcel in my So. CA beach community is laughable. We're often tempted to say "bless you" when someone sneezes in a neighboring house.

Yup. Most "residential" turbines that I'm aware of struggle to put out much more than a kilowatt.
