Is the Porsche Taycan better than a Tesla?

  • Because average is what matters in this case

It certainly does when it is INCOME to buy a potentially quarter million dollar car.

That Porsche is selling Taycan's in such quantity is $6B plus for Porsche.
  • Average geographical income absolutely does not matter when buying a Porsche. Individual ability to buy is the only thing that matters. Is your AI broken?

It does when you are making claims of ownership based on geographic location.

    Up early with the lies
Trump would be proud of you

    You’re mother not so much
  • The two Taycans are still at the Porsche dealer that were there TEN day’s ago. One for 197K the other 203K
Good looking cars, could be great if they were on the SC network and did away with all the required BS maintenance, if you’ve had a Porsche you know what I mean

Local dealer had shipment of 15 two months ago. 8 left. All the $150k plus Turbo S's went first.
  • I drove through Malibu a few days ago. It’s the supercar epicenter of the country where employment isn’t a big part of the financial calculus. Not surprising that income and wealth and statistics are foreign concepts to failures in life.
  • So browsing real estate in Malibu one can see what a poor area it is where no one can afford a Porsche...

More just an out of date cliched view of Malibu and areas with high income by @Bighorn.

Malibu not even in the top 25 income zips in CA.

No nitwittery please. Malibu doesn't have its own zip code. 90265 spans two counties.

Malibu residents have the 9th highest incomes in California, and the 37th highest incomes in America.

  • It’s more about the PCH and locals from surrounding zip codes parading their pride and joy. You can’t drive through without encountering some wild cars.

I'm trying to find in your link where is shows the highest incomes chart and cannot find it. Do you have a better link?

  • Seriously? We’re now debating whether there are people in Malibu who can afford a Taycan? I love it. Showed exactly how crazy these trolls are
  • Having a house in the cheap seats in Boynton Beach, directly between Boca Raton eight miles to the south and Palm Beach file miles to the north (guess who's coming back next Wednesday), we see dozens of supercars and luxo Rolls barges every day, often parked at the local Walmart with their stupid yapper-pups snarling at passers-by. Almost none of the oldsters pretending to drive the Lambos, Ferraris, and even Teslas that abound here have any real incomes, just a ton of wealth. Billy Joel's house is across the canal, Ariana Grande is up the street, Bill Gates has a place nearby, Tiger Woods is up the ICW a few clicks, and Stalone just bought a place next to the Donald's - I doubt their 'income' stats register anywhere in the average numbers - but from driving and bicycling through their 'hoods the rich folks with the statement cars sure as hell cannot drive.

The West Palm Porsche dealer has at least six Taycans out front if anyone is interested - right down the street from the Tesla Service Center - they look to be the same cars that were there a month ago. One thing about Florida - except for the masks, you'd never know there was COVID-19. Beaches, stores and restaurants are packed now that the New Jersey, Connecticut, Long Island and Manhattan crowd has arrived for the winter.

Don't thing bringing up Malibu and who can afford Taycan's makes @Bighorn a crazy troll.

No doubt all the Tesla fanboi angst brings smiles to the faces of the Porsche EV designers.

Except it is the Tesla fanbois posting all the Porsche topics on the Tesla forum.
  • Getting better.

  • Nice article on the Taycan
  • Not really under $80k, though fully loaded it’s no longer over $200k. Now it’s under $175k.
