Mobile App connectivity over LTE only

Having scoured the tesla forums and trying many of the posted solutions, I find that when away from home where there is only LTE connectivity, the mobile app cannot connect to the Model 3. The app responds with a “network timeout error” message. I have tried a myriad of possible solutions including one that allegedly was recommended by Tesla service.

Has anyone out there actually found a reliable solution this for this issue?



  • Probs posted this prematurely. Talked with Tesla CS and they sent me a procedure to try with the Model 3. That seems to have resolved the issue for now. If it fails to work over LTE over the near term, I will respond to this post.
