I purchased a pre-owned model x from a third party. The fob will not lock the car or open the doors. Walk away locking feature isn’t working. However we can still drive the car. I don’t have the app set up yet. I was thinking about replacing the battery but see that someone people have issues with that and we only have one fob. Service appointment is 1 month away. Any suggestions on what could be wrong here?

I would also set up the app right away, as it provides a nice alternative if needed to getting in and driving the car.
