Who started call me a goofy liberal among other things since I’ve been on this forum thats not how you start a debate. Would like to have a debate but don’t make assumptions about my politics and then start calling me names, I tried with this guy but he won’t have it, so you’re right I snapped
  • Sick of being lied to is not being liberal. Some people can’t understand that, but I’m sure that doesn’t apply to you
  • Sorry guys, didn't mean to cause a shitstorm.

I've worked with my hands (and brain) since I started my toolmakers apprenticeship back in '76. Although if I really were that smart I'd be retired by now.

I just like poking Mitch with a sharp stick when he makes one of his less than educated "goofy liberal" comments towards anyone here.

Started my four year machinist apprenticeship in‘69 went into the R&D tooling department for the next 30 years, great job, miss making chips. Maybe Apprenticeships time has come

You snooty liberals have a difficult time accepting that fact.”

I thought the snooty liberals were trying to get those workers (many of them snooty liberals themselves) free public education, free health care, living wages and the vote?
  • No such thing as free public education and free health care.
  • @Mitch,
It is clear you like EVs. Its also clear you espouse many traditional conservative viewpoints.
It is clear that others on this forum like EVs but espouse many traditional liberal viewpoints.
The fish babbles extreme liberal garbage in order to try to associate EVs with liberals to goad conservatives and get them to hate EVs just on principle.
I think it is great that liberals and conservative bicker on this forum.
Its one of the few places where we all (except the
FUDsters) can share a common interest despite having opposing views on many other things.
  • @blkice

I wish I could have you come and work with our machinists for a few weeks to teach them how to make chips properly.

That's the problem with apprenticeships disappearing from the trade, valuable skills also disappear.
  • As you know it’s all about your set up and speed N feed
  • You already hate the planet, clean air and clean water. You hate science. Facts.

But you love to get your grubby little welfare queen claws on some government insurance cheese, right Bitch?

There is a few people on this forum that would apply too, I’m unclear on who you mean but I totally agree, what a bitch, just hope it’s not me
  • > @MitchP85D said: > No such thing as free public education and free health care."

There is for poor people, all about the equality issue. A poor kid whose parents can't afford private education, private health care, tutors etc. gets the same education and health care benefits a rich kid would get. At least that's how it works in the most advanced economies in the world.

Sorry. I posted after a delay. It was supposed to be for climate denier and Drumpf fellator, @MitchP85D

Blatant democrat-socialist falsehoods on all counts from 60cc SamO. And I can tell you are still stung by the fact that I threw a skunk into your little goofy, dumbass liberal democrat party, celebrating the fact my home flooded during Hurricane Harvey. Once I mentioned I have flood insurance, you and your silly party goers sank into the depths of intense resentment over the fact I did not suffer great financial harm from the flood. You were all so giddy about the prospect of me losing over hundreds of thousands of dollars from the flood.

But guess what? I'm a weatherman, and I know flooding is a problem in Houston. So, back in 2008 I called my private insurance agent and made a request for flood insurance coverage. He went ahead and set it up and sent me the bill just like he does for my home insurance bill. Flood insurance is run by FEMA. I didn't make the rules. That is just the way it is. Ever since 2008, I have been paying my flood insurance premium, and I highly recommend everybody else do the same, especially if you live where you are exposed to a heavy rainfall event. Your private home insurance will not cover flood.

By the way, whenever I pay my annual flood insurance premium, that helps provide funds for FEMA so they can assist you snobby, ungrateful Californians with your wildfires, mudslides and earthquakes!
  • Welfare queen Mitch wants to build on a flood plain and have his neighbors pick up he bill.

Typical faux-news libertarian scumbag. Go give bj’s down at the bus station. At least that honest work vs milking honest hard working Americans.

    Typical crony capitalist.

You know, the ones that are paying your paycheck to troll these forums...

No to US where we provide free public education to all kids...well we used to before Trump/GOP and can hopefully get back to that.

But this is about sustainable power for US grid that can be done by solar and wind with battery backup.

The most economical and robust solution.

Time to correct babbling democrat-socialist 60cc SamO - this is from FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program page:

"A: Even though flood insurance isn’t required for your property, flooding can happen to anyone.

In fact, from 2014 to 2018, policyholders outside of high-risk flood areas filed over 40 percent of all NFIP flood insurance claims and required one-third of federal disaster assistance for flooding.

Property owners in the moderate- to low-risk flood areas are eligible for lower-cost Preferred Risk Policies (PRPs). The PRP provides the same building and contents coverage at a more affordable price."

I don't live in a flood plain. But your home can still flood if you live outside of a high risk flood area. Plus, that was a stupid thing SamO just posted about my neighbors. If I don't live in a flood zone, neither do my neighbors! If I did live in a flood zone, my neighbors would too, and we would all be required by state law to carry flood insurance. Nobody is "picking up my bill" because I have been paying my flood insurance premium for 12 years and counting. And most of you should be as well. Flooding is a threat to all 50 states.
  • Subsidized flood insurance you enormous faux libertarian welfare stain. Stop rebuilding on a flood plain and expected your neighbors to foot the bill.

Stop with all the handouts. You Texas welfare queens are really something . . . Guess everything IS bigger in Texas.
  • Without Elon's determination to keep fossil fuels buried we would still be in the Dark Ages. Success breeds success and has inspired others to change.
If the Democrats don't use his expertise they are bigger fools than than the elephant party. Donkeys shouldn't be so stubborn to reward success that helps progress all of humanity.
  • > @Mike83 said: > Without Elon's determination to keep fossil fuels buried we would still be in the Dark Ages"

Good thing Federal and state governments subsidized EV development and sales with $4B to Tesla, saved Tesla from bankruptcy with emergency $500M loan and subsidize yearly with $500M in ZEV credits for Tesla.

Trump/GOP we are in the dark ages of anti-science fervor we haven't seen since Darwin upset the religious with climate science replacing evolutionary science.

So Biden and Dems face a lot of opposition from GOP and people like Musk who opposes EV tax credit and science based policies in US.
  • I am confused. He used credits and he opposed credits. R you feeling ok Fishy?
  • > @WW_icefree said: > I am confused. He used credits and he opposed credits."

    It's called hypocrisy.

The failing fish is just trying to throw shit and see what sticks. Most thinking people(those that can connect the dots using Critical Thinking) can see through the boiler room comments.
  • Musk's "Fountainhead" comments are often quoted by right wing media to attack EV's.
