I bought a house with Tesla Solar Panels in April 2020 and assumed the ongoing lease. I have never had access to my solar panel data and have no idea what SoCal Edison is going to charge me in April when the yearly bill comes due. I contacted Tesla in April 2020, upon purchase of the home, and they sent out a new antennae for the inverter box because they were not receiving data. I received the antennae in October (6 months later). I installed the antennae myself because service appointments were a 2 month wait. I called customer support, they said something on their end needed to be reset and I would have access to my data. After many calls and emails and consistent pestering,
I STILL DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE DATA FROM MY SOLAR PANELS.
It's January 2021. I have not had access to the data from my solar panels since April of 2020. If this issue isn't resolved by April 2021, I will have been without access for an entire calendar year.
TLDR: Yes, Tesla's customer support is that bad. Do not buy from them.
