    Like I been being saying.

    +1 @operator64
  • Are you asking modern people with attention of the turtle to read manual. Ha I wish more people would do that we would see less silly questions and complaints.
  • What you got against turtles
    I like turtles
  • 🐢 are cute
  • Commander Manual on duty
  • I thought this thread was about Lin-Manual Miranda. Sheeesssh.
  • Manual, you might want to update the online version of yourself occasionally.

Well, it's that or they're not actual Tesla owners as we typically know where and how to access the manual through our touchscreens.

As far as I'm aware all of Tesla's online manuals actually are current, for example:

    https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/model_s_owners_manual_north_america_en_us.pdf
    https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/model_3_owners_manual_north_america_en.pdf
    https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/model_x_owners_manual_north_america_en.pdf

    ???

Well, turtles wouldn't know how to access touch screen.

  • I just checked the online Model 3 manual and it mentions "Choose from two levels" of regenerative breaking under Controls > Driving > Regenerative Braking. This is no longer accurate.

Manual? Meh. I prefer automatic (a.k.a. asking on the forums)
  • Do you own a Model 3?
  • Wait, you’re saying they misspelled “braking” in the manual? That would explain why so many people here get it wrong.
  • @"blue adept" - Yes, I own a Model 3.
    @Xerogas - Nope :)

Actually they are not unless they have updated in the last three weeks or so. The manual on my car is a newer revision and I don't think it was updated to reflect the latest software revision. May be wrong on that one, not 100% sure as I haven't checked lately. It was a little frustrating for this newbie.
  • Great to here from you Manual! I visit you on my laptop and phone often.

However, gotta tell you that my MCU1 won't let me contact your cousin without a reboot or two...

I can see how that might be possible, how the online version might get a little dated, especially under the present circumstances the entire world is dealing with.

But the onboard one, accessible through your touchscreen, should always be 'current' given the continuity of Tesla's 'over-the-air' updates as long as you're not keeping your car locked up in some sort of dungeon equipped with a Faraday cage orv something other to block WiFi signals.

Other than that just take your time to read the manual and watch the instructional videos and you'll soon accustom yourself to your car and the Tesla experience.

    BTW, welcome to the Resistance.
  • *orv = or
  • Hey Blue, what do mean "Welcome to the Resistance?" Are you saying I am anti Tesla? I said absolutely nothing negative about my M3. I don't like the older posters saying to Newbies "Read the manual" to their questions. Like I said, sometimes the manual is not current and I have found some of explanations in the manual lacking in detail for a newbie. So maybe the older posters can make some allowance for stupid people, we were born that way.

There are several things that I don't like about my M3 and things like why Tesla did this or did not that. I am not whining about the car, I'm whining about why posters cannot be more helpful to the Newbies. If I misunderstood you, I apologize.

Yes, just a misunderstanding as I was welcoming you to the EV world, to Tesla, the Resistance to conventional ICE vehicles.

    No harm, no foul.
  • Thanks for the response Blue. I'm an old coot who gets "Testy" every now and then,
