Do we all have to buy a Cybertruck? Or should we get the solar roof add on as current owners?

Seems like the foldable/origami solar panels would be an amazing portable battery for all current Tesla's. If they engineered one that was portable and could plug in anywhere, current Tesla owners would love it.

    The solar cover is a conceptual idea, not a product that will be in production when CT ships, if ever. A solar option will be costly, but some may find it useful. Estimates are it might add 5 miles of range if in the sun for 10 hours on a summer day, no dust or dirt, and positioned optimally to the sun.

    Far better to buy a solar system for your house. It's far more cost-effective and you can completely charge your car with it.
