Premium Wheel in DFW - Excellent work

Thanks to this forum I learned about Premium Wheel (Roberto Avitia, 214-475-1729) in Dallas. I sent him a text with a picture of the curb rash (same pic as in this post) and he responded promptly with a quote. He came to my house on a Saturday morning and was able to repair in about 30 min from start to finish. The rash was on about 40% of the diameter of the rim and the cost to repair was $75. Roberto is very skilled at what he does and I would recommend him to anyone.

  • nice job
  • I got rim repaired at local shop and painted and then Tesla tells me afterward the wheel was bent from the road rash. Something to check before painting $150.

Mine didn't occur at speed so I was 99% positive is was just cosmetic. Best $75 I've spent in a long time; generally it takes a lot more $ to the fix the results of something stupid I do :-) .
  • You can do the same yourself for pennies worth of paint.

You cannot do the same as what was done to my rim with just paint. The lip was ground, valleys filled, reshaped, painted and then clear coated. You can look as close as you want, run your finger along the diameter of the rim and have no clue it was ever repaired. You did a good job with your touch-up no doubt, but to call it the same simply isn't true. Each level of repair has its place for sure.
