Model S

Who want to guess the year end delivered units?

edited November -1 in Model S
The company projected 21,000 units to be delivered by 4Q 2013. Per the unofficial VIN# tracking and production ramp up over the last few months, it seems like Tesla will be able to produce much more than that target.

Anyone interested in guessing the year end delivery number (not the total production unit)?

My SWAG is 23k to 25k . Any takers?

Just for estimating, taking 50 weeks of production in 2013 (July 4th week off; extra week for any other holidays):
    500/week: 25K
    600/week: 30K
    700/week: 35K
Your pick sounds good to me, unless they ramp up a 2nd prod. line for MS. I'll stay optimistic.

21216 for domestic, 3649 for out of country for a total of 24,865. But that's just a guess.

    Story out today:

Tesla Model S Sedan Output Speeds Past 400 a Week: CEO

Tesla Motors Inc. (TSLA) is building Model S electric sedans faster than its initial 400-a-week goal as demand and the company’s production skills increase, Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk said.

“We’re above 400 a week at the current manpower, and not trivially above it,” Musk said July 10 in an interview at the company’s Fremont, California, plant, declining to elaborate ahead of Tesla’s release of second-quarter results. In late 2014, the pace is “going to 800 a week. I’m very confident we’ll get there,” said Musk, who is Tesla’s biggest investor.

“We going to have every kind of car you could possibly imagine,” Musk joked during this week’s interview. “If it moves, we’ll make it.”

I LOVE reading quotes like that from Musk. Soo exciting to see Tesla's future unfold!!

    First 25wks x 500 = 12,500
    Last 25wks x 600 = 15,000

My guess is 27, 500 for the year.

    Still grinning
    Jackie :-)
