Just stumbled upon this article about lithium ion battery (LIB) silicon-graphene (SiGr) composite anode material to increase battery energy density and specific capacity over 300%?

Could this be a solution for the battery for the Gen III? And even extending the range to 500+ miles / full charge?

    Well, it's the right type of development. Be nice if it really was drop-in capable.

    If you compare it to 100-200 Wh/kg then it 300%, compared to the current S cell (~250) then it is just 100%, but still impressive. This material has been out there for a while...
