    "No one calls it Sofl"
Dare I ask, what do they call it?
  • edited November -1
    Uhhh, Soflo? Thanks for asking:)
  • edited November -1
Whew, I was worried it would be something more derogatory, like SoNY ;)

It takes cojones to put out cones...

Urk. That does NOT rhyme. Any more than "grange" and "orange".

Brian - don't think PD was trying to rhyme, just stating a bold truth. That said, I like the term "conejones" to describe the particular fortitude necessary for the task ;)

@PBEndo <i>Whew, I was worried it would be something more derogatory, like SoNY ;)</i>

That's it!!! No bagels for you!!! One Year!
  • edited November -1
Wielding the power of the "Worlds Best Bagels" has corrupted you! No true Bagel-phile would ever deny excellent bagels to anyone, even his enemies!

I'm thinking of joining the bandwagon and putting out such cones at my nearest supercharger facility. But I think it might not be worth it. What are anybody's thoughts about doing it in Fremont?
  • edited November -1
I don't know about Fremont, but if anybody puts cones at Hawthorne, they should be made to look like little SpaceX Dragons

You only need to put them where they'll be needed.
    #CaptainObvious but seriously.

Fremont and Hawthorne are essentially the company store--they don't get ICEd and the cones would probably be pulled pretty quickly.

@PBEndo Sorry, PBEndo, it must have been the cream cheese talking. :-/

I'm pretty sure Haggy was being playful with that suggestion.

    Lighten up everyone.

Someone here recently said that the "soup nazi" can only succeed on the screen. There's always the exception that proves the rule, though:)

At JFK Friday evening. Cone was no match for a determined Navigator. But once he left, cone stood tall once again against ICE intrusion.

One of those livery toughs I was talking about--doesn't even respect the paint!

I wonder if T&LC would track down tag T658541C and do anything. They do regulate pretty heavily, but my guess is they are busy with other things.

@ tes-s you can certainly forward the pix to TLC along with some choice words. Not sure if there will be any reprimands issued though.

"I'm pretty sure Haggy was being playful with that suggestion."

For anybody who hasn't been to Fremont, it would be virtually impossible to park there for any reason other than to be at Tesla. I could see how people might not have known that. But for anybody who is familiar with the place, the absurdity is obvious.

He returned to the Merritt Parkway southbound Supercharger to study the migratory patterns of ICErs. Waiting for him was a message. A chilling one:

    <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/15063792178&quot; title="photo-12 by Arnold Fletcher, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3922/15063792178_d72ae67879_z.jpg&quot; width="480" height="640" alt="photo-12"></a>

Code Orange considered the implications. The ICEr could have enlisted the aid of the property owner or the authorities to remove the cone. Instead, as a closer forensic examination revealed, this ICEr had slashed at the sticker with angry, frantic strokes, and then left the cone on site. The message was clear. This was personal. No "play by the rules" invocation of authority. If you De-Ice me, you will suffer a similar fate.

If the ICEr thought that he could frighten Code Orange, well . . ., actually, that was a reasonable assumption. Code Orange was petrified. He was not entirely lacking in courage, although his bravado was expressed in small ways that flew under the radar, like bringing 11 or more items to the "10 items or less" lane at the supermarket.

Code Orange breathed in, regrouped, and remembered that he was part of a broader movement. (Actually, he was the only member of the movement as far as he could tell, but Code Orange digressed.) There were those who destroyed, and those who built. Applied to the specific facts at hand, there were those who shredded stickers, and those who . . . who . . . had extra stickers lying around that could be used to . . . could be used to . . . replace the shredded sticker!!

Code Orange sprang open the glove compartment and removed an extra sticker.

    <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/15249973902&quot; title="photo-13 by Arnold Fletcher, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3897/15249973902_d1272d8089_z.jpg&quot; width="480" height="640" alt="photo-13"></a>

He then placed the sticker on the very cone that had been defiled, and placed the cone back where it belonged, in the center of the Tesla parking spot.

    <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/15247251771&quot; title="photo-14 by Arnold Fletcher, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3863/15247251771_e21fb49531_z.jpg&quot; width="480" height="640" alt="photo-14"></a>

He slept fitfully that night, with purpose in his life restored. He still had work to do.

I know that there is someone with an irrational Tesla hatred in CT. He had an ICE manufacturing gig and has Tea Party tendencies.

I guess that would make him an ICEd Tea drinker. I bet he reads these threads... I have a name. If you need any more information, just let me know. We have your back.
