Model 3 reservation support is worthless

I stood in line for 3 hours at Tesla store to reserve my model3.
- For 72 hours I didn't received my Reservation Code. I called them several times but got an answer that they don't have a system to look up my reservation but they can take new reservation in the same system.
- After 72 hours they were able to tell me, that my email address is spelled wrong in the system. But they cannot fix it as they don't have their IT department set up.
- Its bee more than a week and after so many calls, I still get the same answer, they will need to talk to there corporate headquarters/the IT people are not ready/IT people are really busy.

I doubt a company that can't fix a email address in more than a week or give u any answers on how long it will take to fix it, will deliver u a car on time.

    Don't really care if I get it on time, as long as they get it right and I think they will. I'm sure they'll get your problem fixed if you can wait.

    Did you enter the email (i.e. this was your error) like everyone else who ordered? Sounds like you're blaming Tesla for your own error and demanding an immediate fix.

    Yep, would be nice to get fixed, but I doubt it's much of a priority. They have a couple of years to deal with it before you will get the chance to configure the car.

    Is the registration transferrable? Can i transfer it to somebody else when the car is available?

    I didn't enter any information myself. The Tesla rep entered everything. I had been waiting in in line for 3.5 hours outdoor at 3 degrees with heavy rain and when I shook hands with the Tesla rep, he said Oh my god can you move your fingers?

    But in the end I'm sure the Autopilot will be reliable and my 10 amputed digits won't be a big loss

    I emailed tesla in general, i'm good to go lol. They fixed my email and I have an RN now after being 3rd in line

    They might be a tad busy with the ever so slight interest in the model 3. Just a guess!

    The car is worth the wait, and the "hassle" of getting your email address incorrect.

    As far as the literature goes, reservations are not transferable

    Try not to worry about it. Send Tesla a simple concise email then wait patiently. It's the Tesla way.

    You have at least two years to get it corrected so I would not lose much sleep over it.

    I have ordered and received three model S and two Model X since March 2013. Never needed to make a phone call handled it all thru email. Can you even imagine trying to talk to 325,000 people that ordered cars that don't even exist yet.

    Phone calls are a really time wasting way to get anything done. Send an email then take a long vacation. It will be OK.

    Check the email and text box.

    Then demonstrate patience. You have two years to get it corrected. It will be OK.

    They may be a little busy setting a worlds record for the highest dollar product reservation ever placed in a single week. You are part of history. Enjoy the moment.

    Unless you are trying to get a refund, there is no hurry. If you are trying to get a refund and Tesla can't look things up, you could always dispute the credit card charge after notifying Tesla in writing that you wish to cancel a given reservation.

    More realistically, if you are concerned with getting some information fixed, it will have to be done before it's time to configure your vehicle, and should be done before it's time to determine that it's your turn based on your position in the queue. If that takes six months, it won't affect anything.

    When I placed my reservation, Tesla typed the information in. I looked at the screen to make sure it was correct.
