Did someone loose their Nosecone on 101?

Yesterday I saw what looked very much like a Tesla nosecone (with front plate attached) laying in the center divider area of 101 in Palo Alto. Curious if anyone is missing their nosecone and what the story behind that might be. :-)

    Maybe an accident and someone else it behind? That's normal the reason why you see parts and pieces from other vehicles on the side of freeways.
