This is the world record now.

Turtle beats the Rabbit.

I was thinking when FSD comes you can relax, read, write, music and maybe videos while slow traveling using only 144 Wh/mile.

I think Elon said 700 was possible to the last duo.

I saw a video of some drag racers stripping down a P100D losing about 500 lbs and it beat everything including Nitro cars(the defeated guys were trying to deny it but lost again.
I wonder if a stripped down Tesla could do 1000 miles; might need a bed in it. ;-)

I don't think weight has as significant an effect on range as speed.

But energy is required to accelerate, travel, slow and accelerate as needed .
F=MA. Another thing is having a car waxed well and tires with little thread, removing side mirrors, etc. Just speculation.

Yes, weight costs you when accelerating (or going up hill). But with an average speed of 23 mph...they did precious little accelerating!

Waxed well? You've gotta be kidding me...

There doesn't seem to be much info on the drive - I hope it wasn't done on a rolling road!

It was a 100D and they got over 98 kWh's out of it!

    Wow, very impressive!

How come we can't get 83 kWh's out of an 85 but we can get 98 kWh's out of a 100?
