Model 3 Delivery Checklist

Has anyone made a delivery checklist for the model 3? I know there are some or there for the model S and X. It would be useful to look at to check if the car is made correctly (paint defects, panel gaps, door closes correctly, noise complaint etc...).

Thanks,
Jaspal Singh

    Checklist:

    - Give money to Tesla employee for Model 3
    - Don't forget Model 3 when leaving the showroom
    - Enjoy Model 3
  • Make sure there are not scratches on the instrument cluster.

Make sure that the HUD functions properly

Make sure the delivery guy didnt steal your HUD. Seems most of the Model 3's being delivered had their HUDs stolen.

I would utilize the checklist from Nick J Howe for the Model S. It's similar.

nice to see there's one non-troll in this thread :)

Here's a link to the resource @PhillyGal is referring to. It's super comprehensive and should be helpful to anyone picking up a Tesla of any model for the first time.

I think it is difficult to come up with a Model # specific checklist since so few are out there to compile what things to look out for apart from the usual for ANY car like fit/finish.

    Confirm tow hitch attachment
    Confirm hatchback
Confirm baby in back seat does not get sunburn
    Confirm intermittent wipers
Confirm whiplash from constant monitoring of speedometer

    Confirm constant grin

I still remember a forum topic where someone was suggesting that sun was dangerous for children.

Side note: if the Model 3 windshield wiper fluid sprayer button is anything like the Model S, please give them the benefit of the doubt that they did not forget to fill you up. The button just needs to be pressed really hard.

Thanks PG and maintreqd. That list is awsome.

Started work on a dedicate Model 3 checklist, comments/suggestions/etc. please. Some items based on touchscreen simulator, videos by others, etc.

Make sure they install the front license plate holder.

No checklist needed. Most of the stuff on checklists are things you would notice anyway. Also, Tesla has come a long way since the early Models S and X, both of which are much more complicated to build than Model 3. If you do find anything later on, just let Tesla know and they will take care of it under warranty anyway. The only possible outcome to being very picky is waiting longer for your car.

    Don't forget the keys.
Make sure all 4 tires are installed on the car.
Make sure the battery is installed.

    :p

Kidding aside.. I don't think there is much. I am picking up mine in less than 36 hours and plan to just have a glance on the outside & inside for anything obvious, like scratches or any panels that are not aligned, setup cell phone (since that will be my primary key), make sure touchscreen works as expected, etc...

Just play it by the ear and don't forget to enjoy the experience!!!

Keep in mind that it is still early in production. Not exactly cookie-cutter at this point and it would probably be a good idea to go over everything before driving away. Might save some time in the long-run...
