Homelink not working

I have tried all of the below and still can no get the homelink to find the signal??

-new batteries in remote.
-confirmed remote is on intellicode 1.
-tried pointing at the T emblem.
-tried left side of bummer.
-tried right side of bummer.
-tried in frunk.
-tried pointing at left speaker left of steering wheel.

I have a genie gm3t 37344r 3 button remote. http://geniecompany.com/data/products/accessories/geniemaster.pdf no mention of any of the buttons being special.

I press the button to open, it lights up red (confirming intellicode 1) then goes red/green programming mode. car never finds the signal.

opened and closed my garage door about 50 times... help please.

    If you're saying the Tesla doesn't record your garage remote, that's less clear. The placement is not all the sensitive (i.e. anywhere in front of the car should work).

    Did you follow the Tesla on screen steps? Most opener/motor units have a learn button that needs to be pressed to learn the code from the car (after saved in the car). After pressing, you have 30 seconds to teach it the new codes from the car (i.e. press the homelink button on the screen).

    Do you have any other car's homelink that works? If they fail too, there may be something else going on like the opener/motor controller ran out of room to store more codes. You might take a look at the Genie manual for your opener on how to reset it.

    Does your remote uses the correct frequency? I bought a Sommer garage door opener and it didn't work because of wrong frequency. Bought a little adapter for the Sommers and it works like a charm now. I think Tesla uses 315 MHz, while my Sommers uses 300 MHz out of the box.

    Did you ever solve this? I have that exact remote and cannot get it to work in intellicode 1. Car will not pick up the signal.

    My garage door opener is over 20 years old with no LEARN BUTTON. However I was able to program opener only by having car under receiver antenna. Trying to program outside or operate the doors from outside didn't work because of metal garage door and metal siding on house. Homelink support could only suggest a new receiver. It seems the Homelink transmitters in my new Buick are not as strong signal-wise as the old visor clipped ones. So, I Stripped insulation off end of antenna wire of receiver and spliced a length of 20ga. insulated (dog fence) wire to antenna, across ceiling and down along inside frame of garage door. Vola! Works good just outside garage with door open or closed. I might try running wire down vertically along OUTSIDE of door frame for even better reception.

    Wow, you’ll get another 20 years out of that thing!

    Nice job. I suspect that’s old enough that garage door hackers prolly have forgotten how to trick it.

    I just recently (2 weeks ago) bought my first Audi, 2019 Q7. I am have been trying for two weeks to set up HomeLink for my garage doors with no luck at all and HomeLink themselves have been pretty useless up to this point. Nothing seems to work with my 2000 version Liftmaster Garage Door Openers.

    My Homelink stopped working right after the last Tesla Software update. Has worked perfectly for 18 months before this week. Mobile remote on the Honda has worked before and still does now. Tried reprogramming multiple times using instructions on the screen. Any suggestions, ideas?

    New batteries in the remote so it generates a good signal to be learned.

    I solved all of my Homelink problems by getting rid of two openers that worked on 315 MHz and replacing them with newer models that work on 390 MHz. I have IP video cameras that I found have spurious radiation at 315 MHz which blocked the receiver in the openers.

    I think it is because of the wrong frequency. You should check if it's the same and maybe buy an adapter.

    With the 315 MHz opener it was hard to get the door to open with the nose of the car almost touching the door.

    With the 390 MHz opener the door can be opened from 75 feet away.
