I just got my first room rash on my model three with 20 inch performance wheels. Does anyone have a link to some matching touch up paint?
I used this. A little lighter, but looks ok from a distance. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HE66OK8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_...
I have the Stock aero wheels, not sure if the 20" performance are a different color
I used this on my 19" wheels and its a pretty good match.
You shouldn’t paint them because the paint will just peel, if you really wanna fix it, there are Rom repair specialist that can fix them for around $100, I did it for my other car and they repaired the entire rim, they got rid of any scratches and dents.
@jjt2122, If you prep properly the paint will work fine. I have the 18" wheels and used the Dupli-Color AFM0360 Dark Shadow Gray Ford. I had about 8" of rash and have had no problem with it peeling off. $15 for the repair and I've got plenty left for more repairs.

@gmr6415: The repairs look great, thank you for sharing! How did you sand the rims to prep them?
@dmastro, I removed the wheel cover and used 150 grit sandpaper to sand out as much of the curb rash as I could. I then went to 400 grit and made sure that at the ends of the damaged area the good paint was tapered and thinned down to bare metal. I had purchased some spot putty to fill in any divots, but didn't think it was necessary. If you zoom in on the after image you will see there is actually some damage there particularly to the right of the Michelin Man and to the left of the letter M in Michelin. I didn't feel that the extra work of the spot putting and additional sanding was worth it.
There is three coats of the base color which I let dry for a day between each coat. Then there is two coats of the clear coat that comes in that kit.
@gmr6415: Thank you for the write up! I'm going to order the touch up and clean up my wheels.
Ditto for gmr6415, although I started with a file.
