Tesla and Bolivia

This article, points to a link between the mining of lithium, which is key to the Tesla batteries and the resignation of Evo Morales. This is something we should be aware of as Tesla owners, because a big part of owning a Tesla for me, is doing the right thing. This appears to be the wrong end.

Its ok for someone to be concerned about this kind of thing. It doesn't necessarily mean a bot or troll.
However, while there's a lot of corruption in the mining industry in Bolivia, Peru, and Chile, it doesn't mean it is all bad. Only that one must keep one's eyes open.
Li, however, is not mined from deep in the ground. It is cheapest when collected from dry lake bottoms, kind of like Borax, with which we all clean our clothes and dishes.

Evo was pushed out because he made a deal with the Chinese for their lithium resources, nothing to do with Tesla.
