purchasing documents

Hi, I am new to the forum and just took delivery of a Model 3 on 12/23. I would appreciate help/tips with processes/docs for rebate. When I took delivery, the Tesla rep didn't give me any paperwork nor said anything about docs needed for rebate filing. I did receive a PDF purchase agreement on my account. Is that all I need to file for rebate (after I receive DMV registration)? Do I need any actually signed copies? This is very different from purchasing a car from a traditional dealer.

Sorry if this has been asked in the past. Thank you!

I assume you're talking about the US Federal tax credit, which is not a rebate. You claim that when you file your tax return for 2019. There's no paperwork needed other than IRS Form 8936 (https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-8936).

I think he/she is referring to the state rebate (CA maybe?), as I picked mine up yesterday and they didn't mention it to me either...

Thank you both for your replies. If new buyers are not "supposed" to receive signed paperwork, I guess I am ok. Appreciate you chime in and help.

Just fill out the CA rebate form. Just needs the VIN - no other paperwork (unless it's changed in the last couple of years).
