Thinking of leasing a car in the interim.. For how long?

So I have a Model 3 reservation, as of 3 April. I'm a UK customer, and I understand that right-hand drive configurations will be some of the last to get the car.
So I'm looking at a short term lease to tide me over. I would normally just keep my car but I've had it a while and it was used when I bought it.
My question then, do I go for a 2 or 3 year lease? I've read on the site that orders can be deferred for up to 6 months.

Would you seriously bank on any sort of answer to that question you might get here?

Are you concerned that your car will fail? How does having a used car for a while change the norm? My advice would be to save your money. This car is probably a bit more than many used cars. :)
