Average age of a Tesla Model S owner?

Average age of a Tesla Model S owner?

Just wondering...What do you think the average age of a Tesla Model S owner is/will be? I'm 40, which I would guess would be towards the younger end of average, but by no means the youngest. What are your thoughts (not that this is relevant of anything, I was just wondering!)

My thoughts at this stage are not to buy a Tesla because of the attention needed for the screen.
Maybe you can change my mind?

Once you learn where things are on the screen, you can get to most things quickly. Or you can drive and leave the screen alone. There are some rare things such as needing to put the headlights on in the fog that should be designed much better, but for the most part, those things that you really need to change while driving are easy to change while driving.

While on the highway, I'd rather look away from the screen for a second or two too long with autopilot doing the steering and keeping a following distance than being distracted for a second or two less and missing something on the road that the car didn't make up for.

We are a long way from five push buttons for the radio, but there's nothing stopping you from a default configuration for the screen that shows what you need most. The worst case is that you'll choose not to look somebody up in your phone directory while driving, but then again we managed to live in the days when somebody called our home phones, nobody answered so they hung up.

I win.....75

bhonnef | December 14, 2015

81 Even this number will not win (read the thread, there is a 94!).

bhonnef | January 10, 2016

Re Screen size: The discussion is interesting. But with the first 2000 km with Model S 85 behind us, we confirm: almost all functions for driving the Model S are on the drivers screen. If the big screen is disturbing you, cover it up. You really need it only for things which you do not need while driving - with very few exceptions such as "fog lights" as described in one of the earlier post. The screen has not disturbed - neither me nor my wife (and we did not cover it up). On the contrary - I used the camera at times as rear mirror - but be careful - it shows more space then you really have. However I noticed, that the three mirrors of the Model S are totally sufficient for the view backwards while driving - in spite of the for us unusual limited size of the rear window.

Do I understand correctly that our Tesla-Methusalem with 94 leaves most of the driving to others? Then - with age 81 we might be the oldest active Tesla drivers and we both say - very relaxing - even on the German Autobahn which normally is no place for relaxing.
