Key lanyard?

Key lanyard?

Since I don't take delivery for another month I thought I would get a jump on the little details. How do you keep track of your key? My salesman suggested getting a small lanyard to connect it to the rest of my keys. I did some preliminary searching but couldn't find anything that would work. Any suggestions or product links would be greatly appreciated.

I keep it in a specific pocket in my purse, but if you are not a woman, then see earlier thread on this:

I bought one of these and love it:

You can wear it as a necklace, or the round part comes off and you can put it on your keychain. The best thing about it is that there are lots of options and there are many colors to chose from too. I bought a few different things, but this is the one that I use.

Use zip-tie to attach to regular keychain.

I went to Michaels the craft store, got some small metal rings. Put 2 of them through the back attachment point and soldered them closed. I then put a split ring through those to attach to the rest of my keys. Works great. The soldering part is important though because the soft rings will pull open easily if you don't.

I purchased a flash drive case from Amazon ($5.96) the fob slips into a leather case and it has a key ring attached for my house key. It works great. Case Logic USB-201 flash drive case.

My delivery specialist gave me a couple thin lanyards with the fobs. This was in April. Has anyone else gotten these with a recent delivery?

Yes, cgiGuy, my DS gave me two when I took delivery of my S last week.

When I took my car in for service in March they returned the key with a lanyard attached.

Don't bother linking to FB pictures here. It doesn't work, and few are FB fans or users.

I've gotten two lengths of lanyards at Amazon. I use the shorter (Hand Wrist Lanyard) more often. The longer one is good if you don't have pockets available because it allows you to hang it around you neck.

Hum..ok, so avoiding facebook links.. how about the link for the vendor itself... although it is in Japan.. I really like my fob holder.. aka Frisk holder (frisk is a mint brand in Japan)..

how do people post pictures in this forum anyhow?

Use a web-hosted URL.

This was mentioned last year on a previous post and I felt it was a good choice.

I bought 2. Like a little garage for your fob! Comes with very nice key rings as well. I used some thin fishing line to attach the fob to the post or I guess you can use a camera lanyard. The only problem I had was that the screw at the end of one of the posts kept unscrewing and falling off.A dab of crazy glue stopped that. Otherwise, I have had no problems with them since 12/12. Keeps your fobs scratch-free as well.
