Anyone get their parcel shelf yet? I got my P85 in December and I still haven't got my parcel shelf or my HPWC. Anyone get either yet?
Just left my car at Menlo Park for assorted small issues (none big). Did not get an answer. GB's Feb 5 blog said soon, whatever that means.
I took delivery on Saturday. The DS told me that the parcel shelf design was just released to contractor production last week. Realistic delivery (will be sent directly to your home) is late March to May, in order of car delivery. Same for the replacement charger cables, which are now being delivered without the top plate on the switch and car-end plug.

I recently e-mailed email@example.com with the same question (+ my HPWC and other missing items). I was told they will ship us missing items in delivery order as they are produced. They hope to have all delayed items to all customers by the end of the first quarter.
Pungoteague_Dave: I guess by Tesla standards May is in the first quarter :)
I guess things will arrive, when the arrive.
I got email from Tesla saying mine was in on Feb 5, and I picked it up Feb 6. I got my car in Oct. While at Tesla I was told they are starting to recieve the parcel shelves in and I expect you will be hearing from them.
Yeah I really want the parcel shelf, but also, I have heard other people talking about the cover for the foot well in the trunk. Is that generally available now?

Still waiting for my parcel shelf, but the foot well cover came with my car a month ago. You should ask your DS, because I haven't heard of any one who didn't get it. They even installed my CF spoiler this week.
Portia, you have a parcel shelf already? My DS says none have been made for production cars yet, just a couple prototypes, with deign just finalized. Of corse it could be bad info.
Mine was delivered with the footwell cover but we took it out and put it in storage, as it is very lightweight, has no reinforcement and cannot support a normal grocery load. Three gallons of milk bowed it way down so we moved it before driving away. Any distance or bumps would have broken or folded it up. No way the cover can handle two cases of beer.
?? I thought it was supposed to conceal, not carry.
My MS came 2 weeks ago without the foot well cover - which makes it hard to put golf clubs in the back.
So I took a piece of thin wood panelling and cut it to fit the hole - and then covered it with an inexpensive piece of black carpet from the local auto store.
If the real part isn't sturdy enough to hold groceries or golf clubs - it will be useless. Hopefully they've fixed that...

I sat on the factory footwell for a while, while cleaning the trunk. I'm 200+ lbs and the cover did sag a little, but didn't feel that it would collapse.
My experiences are similar w/ AlexK's. Have had the trunk loaded with groceries, luggage and similar on multiple locations with zero concern re: the well cover. And also have sat in the trunk cleaning the hatch window and the trough along the top of the opening. Wouldn't treat it as a trampoline in the latter situation, but was not worried about 'falling in' :-)
My parcel shelf arrived in the mail today! I picked up my P85 on December 22 of last year.
@Brian H - I also believe it's for concealing. Although it *is* called a parcel *self* not a parcel *cover*. ;->
The rumors are true... The parcel shelf is the smelliest thing I've ever received. I put it in the car to see how it fit, but it was stinking up my beautiful car, so,I took it out and now it's just stinking up the garage. It makes a wet dog smell like perfume by comparison!
Has anyone been able to de-stinkify the thing?
?? Rinse with peroxide, let dry?
Tesla has known about the foul smell of the cargo shelf for awhile. I shouldn't need to chemically treat the shelf myself to reduce the odor. These shelves should be good to go. Tesla really needs to iron out these irritating missteps. The general public will not be as forgiving.
Oops, typo. I meant shelf not self.
