Hubby sent this to me a little while ago. I applaud her ingenuity and skills in getting it done -- but I'm not really a fan of it.
saw this on another thread. would improve the construction efficiency, but not really a "pick-Up"
Love it. The new El Camino.
Have been a few of Simone and Rich for a while. Love this project, and look forward to an update once it is more polished. Probably will be a very useful vehicle for what she does.
Jethro would definitely drive that.
The first car I ever drove was my Uncle George's Chevrolet El Camino SS, around forty years ago. It would be faster and more reliable with a Tesla drivetrain for sure. Sorry, Ford Ranchero fans -- the El Camino was always cooler. ;-)
If Tesla made a Subaru Brat.
She'll probably get enough Youtube views to pay for that Tesla.
Also noticed on that same page the Jag I-pace Waymo being tested. I’m not normally an aesthetics snob but are they going to figure out how to hide that Lidar dome any better? That might be a dealbreaker for me. Of course if Elon figures out FSD first without Lidar, I won’t have even think about that compromise.
Very cool job. Vote: Sure!
It really begs the question..... Why?
Guess I’ll just log out.
I applaud the attempt.... Maybe it looks better in person...
All it needs is a lift kit and monster tires and it will be good!
I'd buy this right now.
I'm sure she'd be happy to sell it to you.
@lbowroom: "I'm sure she'd be happy to sell it to you."
I watched the video. She loves Truckla. Why do you say that?
"High fives and snacks..."
Cool. Just about all I need to help Friends out anytime. Works for me. Add pizza to the mix, and I'll not only love you forever, I'll make lasagna too!
Awesome job. Amazing energy she has as she is battling brain cancer. Wish she was my neighbor.
In the Jalopnik article about her they note “YouTuber Simone Giertz, also known as “The Queen of $h*tty Robots.”” That’s hilarious.
There is another thread on this also
Several in fact.
Good for her. Live the everloving crap out of that life thing.
Should have called it an E-Camino. :)
alisse: That does it! I'm gonna have to build me an E Camino some day!
