BMW/Mercedes ride-sharing joint-venture buys 60 Model 3s

"Guess what model they bought for the joint-venture ride-sharing subsidiary?

According to the German language publication Handelsblatt, BMW and Daimler's ride-sharing joint-venture, Free Now (formerly called MyTaxi), has just placed an order for 60 Teslas. Headquartered in Hamburg, Free Now has operations in Europe and Latin America. It also rents out electric scooters alongside its taxi-hailing business.

The report further claims Free Now's order was for the Model 3, and all units are slated to enter its service fleet in Hamburg at the end of March."

I'd say that's pretty damn cool.

I can’t get past the clickbait title.

andy.connor.e | January 13, 2020

The thread title was misleading.

calvin940 | January 13, 2020

The thread title is the title of the article.

I'll admit that it is click-baity but I still went to the article anyhow.

calvin940 | January 13, 2020

Changed the title for the faint of heart.

jordanrichard | January 13, 2020

How is my link or title "click bait". Does the article not state what my thread title says?

jordanrichard | January 13, 2020

Whoops, sort of. I too had posted about the same subject with a similar title, hence my above post.

This has to be an embarrassment for BMW/MB having to buy a competitor's car. From Tesla's point of view and quite frankly in the eyes of the auto industry, this just further validates Tesla's credibility.

ksrehman | January 13, 2020

They already had a Tesla account from buying Model 3's to tear down and study when they first came out :)

jordanrichard | January 13, 2020

Right, but that is not what this is.
