model 3 part 2 link?

model 3 part 2 link?

Anybody know where the link is for part 2 viewing on tesla's site? I can't find it.

carlk | October 19, 2016

Won't be up until 5PM PST.

dd.micsol | October 19, 2016

Bummer. Too excited!!!!!! I really honestly didn't expect part 2 this early.

I wouldn't be surprised if it looks something like this:

https://www.tesla.com/model3

I don't think it's the actual car. Its a something that will be an option of the car. I also don't expect a stream - it seems it's coming in the form of a blog post - and since the model 3 won't have anything the S and X doesn't have, I expect the design studio to be updated soon after the announcement.

JMHO - we'll find out soon.

I think they will show the body of the car, because they had pencils down a while ago, and some interior driving systems.

Can't wait !!!! Well, I will have to of course but I don't have to like it !! 45 minutes away !!!

@ddmicsol - Keep refreshing Tesla's main page (F5 if you have Windows). They'll probably have a black screen on the page a while before the event shows. That way you'll know you're on the correct page.

Linemanap | October 19, 2016

Looks like Teslas really got their act together didn't even think this was coming until 2017

Can't wait

tommyalexandersb | October 19, 2016

Where can I watch it???

ELECTRFY | October 19, 2016

I guess the web team and Elon are disconnected.... :(

tommyalexandersb | October 19, 2016

Is there a link? How do I find it?

Frank99 | October 19, 2016

Remarkably, TMC also appears to be down. There must be a whole lotta interest. I'm sitting here refreshing Twitter, Tesla.com, the Model 3 page, this thread, and trying to refresh TMC.

KP in NPT | October 19, 2016

There is no link.

mntlvr23 | October 19, 2016

Frank99 - me too, and the main site will no longer come up

Octagondd | October 19, 2016

Blog Updates - Full self driving hardware

tedirelan | October 19, 2016

Than it should be up soon. At least we know their working on it.

eporteous1 | October 19, 2016

Still nothing, anyone find a link?

tedirelan | October 19, 2016

@Octagonn - is that off Tesla's site?

nextelmatt | October 19, 2016

Yep, I agree with Octa, Full self driving hardware on all models. Blog post in Updates on the home page.

dd.micsol | October 19, 2016

Well, I wasn't too surprised after all. I was hoping to see the car and not a blog.

travis.wilhelm | October 19, 2016

Is that all it is?

eporteous1 | October 19, 2016

Elon said 30 minutes of media, and then Q&A, so that's not it.

Octagondd | October 19, 2016

eport - he said 30 minutes of Q&A. I am pretty sure that is it.

Disappointing in some respects? Yes, a little because many had hopes that the cool space ship thing was a HUD of some sort. But as far as the technology goes, this is huge. This moves autonomous much closer and sooner than expected.

KP in NPT | October 19, 2016

It means the model 3 will be capable of full autonomy. Pretty amazing. And the option is already on the configurator for S/X.

akgolf | October 19, 2016

I'm happy.

leskchan | October 19, 2016

For $8,000.

akgolf | October 19, 2016

Yes.

Zakynthos | October 19, 2016

Blog post is up and Musk to show a video soon demoing the new self driving tech's capability with it navigating a complex environment. See Elons twitter.

jordanrichard | October 19, 2016

leskchan. where did you see that, for the Model ≡?

eporteous1 | October 19, 2016

Octa - Ahh, if only there was a comma there; "30 minutes of media QA to follow". I guess I got my hopes up that we'd see more design aspects of the car. Either way there should be 30 minutes of something besides a blog post.

eporteous1 | October 19, 2016

Jordan - in the options for the S, says it's a "$6,000 upgrade after delivery", rather than $8,000, though the text is very small and I had to enlarge it to be sure.

jamilworm | October 19, 2016

@eporteous1 the $8,000 comes from the $5k enhanced AP feature plus the $3k self-driving feature. If upgraded after the fact it would cost $6k plus $4k = $10k.
