The battery pack is a substantially expensive part of the Tesla Motors EV. And many buyers are asking several questions about the battery pack.
I think that it would be good to have the engineers at the Tesla Motors Service Center do a check-up on the battery pack, just to determine if there has been a certain % of degredation of the capacity of the battery pack, or not. The results of this annual check-up will be written in a report. And after a certain number of years you will get a picture of how good this battery pack really is.
The information that will be obtained from all these annual check-ups will also be valuable for Tesla Motors. Because future battery packs will be even more reliable. Is this a good idea?
